The bfd library (used by ar and nm) already searches for plugins in
$install_dir/lib/bfd-plugins/. Maybe we could pass an option to llvm's
configure to tell it where

That's pretty awesome!
Will ar, etc. eventually get some autodiscovery of plugins so that
things work OOTB after a make install of llvm/llvm-gcc?

plug in USB device no longer noticed by system
Hi all!
My C6 box seems to have developed this problem somewhere during recent
weeks. not quite sure when, but I've noticed it several times lately.
Whenever I plug in a USB device, be it a camera or a HD or a mouse,
nothing happens. I mean nothing. /var/log/messages doesn't show any
activity, lsusb does not show the new device.
Back at the start of Feb I did move the raid1 pair of HDs

[LLVMdev] CVS binutils includes support for plugins, can use the llvm plugin.
For some time now the gold linker has support for plugins and llvm has
a plugin for it.
Unfortunately, it was still not possible to do fully transparent LTO
on linux because ar had no support for plugins and a library created
with llvm files in it would have no symbol table and would be rejected
by gold.
Today support for plugins has been committed to BFD. That is the file
format abstraction

There is the LocalDiscovery option that can be enabled. However, it does
not automatically exchanging keys with nodes on the LAN. Instead, it is
there to assist when two nodes that are on the same LAN, are part of the
same VPN, and are connect

After finally getting chan_misdn to load (missing #include to bitops.h
under Debian at least) it still won't load, and won't tell me why even

I've just found my first problem. /dev/mISDN was being created with the
wrong permissions...
Thanks

attaching xp machine to existing domain
Howdy All,
I have a problem with a machine which I am trying to connect to an
existing samba domain
1. The machine WAS connected to the domain as hrennie$
2. Removed hrennie$ ( using smbpasswd -x hrennie$ ) from the system.
3. Changed the name of the machine to hrenniedt$ ( found that having a
user with the same name as the machine is not a good look ) .
4. Tried to reconnect the hrenniedt$ to

vpimd, a personal information server
This isn''t even close to ready for release, but in case anybody is
interested, has feedback, finds it useful as is, or even wants to
collaborate...
I''ve been working on a "personal information server", something of a
protocol multiplexer. Right now it serves calendar feeds for:
- a local calendar folder (iCal 1.x''s Library/Calendars)
- rss for local todos

Using keyring on tinc
Hi all!
Is there any way to make tinc use keys from a keyring or similar?
I'm trying to find a way to manage multiple server, making it easier to
register a new user to the network.
Thanks!

[RFC, PATCH] core/pxe: Add architecture-specific discovery request for PXE config file

horde sync status ?
Hello all,
I had a quick look at the horde site and noticed that
horde is being advertised as, let's say, "smartphone friendly".
Does anyone know if the newest horde version can "talk" to?
smart phones in regards to e-mails ?
In other words, can a user owning a smartphone get his/her
e-mails on it apart from the webpage ?
Thank you,
spyros

DHCP and DNS
I know this is samba list and I am hoping that someone with MS AD
experience can answer this definitively.
Does AD have some kind of data exchange between dhcp and dns so that
systems which receive a dhcp lease from an AD DC more reliably register
their hostname with AD DNS? Looking at the RFC I couldn't see any reason
why this should be the case. But it seems that host name registration for

Migrating away from Nagios
I have to rebuild a new Nagios box and thought this might be a good time
to migrate away. I use snmp mostly for everything but with the fork Nagios
endured I wonder about putting any more effort into the project.
I probably should look at OpenNMS again, but the other options I think might
work are Icinga (Should be trivial to migrate) or Zenoss or maybe even Zabbix?
Anyone have experience in

Samba rebind user@email.com to user_email.com
Hello List,
I'm dealing with the following issue here:
https://forum.zentyal.org/index.php?topic=25300.0
Although it starts with OpenChange, it ends with Samba4 so I very much hope that somebody on this list can help me out.
Basically I try to authenticate users through the Outlook autoconfigurator using RPC-OVER-HTTP to a samba server. The problem is that in Samba4/LDAP I cannot have
