Auth-woker log lines
Hi,
Are log lines like the following:
Jul 28 15:30:50 mx1.somewhere dovecot: auth-worker(18980):
sql(user at domain,217.67.x.x): unknown user
Jul 28 15:32:56 mx1.somewhere dovecot: auth-worker(18980):
sql(user at domain,212.182.x.x): Password mismatch
written every time any authetntication phase fails, in SASL as well as
in POP3/IMAP mailbox access? I have a legacy app that would gain a lot
if I could distinguish between failed SASL authentication and failed
POP3/IMAP authentication. I know I can use the "auth failed" lines for
the latter case, and postfix log lines...

dovecot imap auth method issue
...lowed the guide on workaround
dot org and at the end of it i have authentications issues with
thunderbird .On workaround there is a
local test for authentication and it was successfull .Thunderbird says:
"the IMAP server doesn't support the selected authentication method
,please change the authetntication method .... " I have tried all of
clear, starttls and ssl/tls .
dovecot 10-auth.conf is set:
> disable_plaintext_auth = yes auth_mechanisms = plain login !include
> auth-sql.conf.ext
auth-sql.conf.ex has:

Just to close this off - I have now got sssd configured and working on
my Samba4 DCs (well, if I'm being picky, I have it
