Successful experience with auth_winbind module
Hi,
Recently the support of Samba's ntlm_auth helper was added to
dovecot-auth (mech-winbind.c etc.). It is alrready in 1.1, the patch for
1.0 is here: http://dovecot.org/patches/1.0/dovecot-1.0.3-winbind.patch
. It allows auth against NT or AD domain.
I would like to infrom all that we successfully use this new feature
during 2 month and ~300 users 24x7 (an energy power company). No any

Strange NT_STATUS_PASSWORD errors after upgrade to 3.0.26a

Samba update cause windows incorrect password
...Windows tells me that the password is
incorrect.
To be able to loing, I've to select Other User, enter username and
password and all works fine. But if I logout and enter the same
password, Windows tells me "Incorrect password".
In the samba log file I've only:

Samba 3.0.2a + Win2K clients: unreliable share access
...ime I get an error message "No domain contoller was available" (actually, I'm paraphrasing that one, I unfortunately did not record it verbatim). Host linux log contains the following error message for each access:
