apache mod_authnzldap against Active Directory

have it working about 50% of the
time.
About 50% of the time this works with no issue, the rest of the time it fails.
Sometimes it fails and notes the following in the error log:

problem w/ php3+php4
Hello,
Has anybody experienced any problems with php3+php4 combo
in systems newer than 4.6-STABLE (as of June-Aug 2002)?
Briefly, the problem looks very similar to what is
stated in the following reports:
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=%22php3+kills+apache%22&hl=ru&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&selm=wqz8yrfzbug.wl%40hurt.theclones.net&rnum=1

winbind-client: irregular "Connection reset by peer" errors when using Win 2003 server
...#39;ve integrated samba into an existing NT Domain managed by a windows
2003 server. Recently I'm have trouble to use the "groups" command get
the group of domain users. It worked well for weeks (but perhaps after
setting up an ldap-connection to the same server via the apache2 module
auth_ldap), there are irregular connection-losses, so winbind seems not
to be able to retrieve the groupnames. Sure, there are some possible
workarounds, but it would be nice to have a stable connection to the DC.
Perhaps there is any nice way to auto-resume that winbind-lookup-connection?

special variables
...ot (latest CVS snapshot) offers, among others, the following
variable:
%d - domain part in user at domain, empty if there is no domain
But, what if dovecot could offer something like this:
%1-9 = domain tokens (%1 = tld, %2 = domain when %d = domain.tld)
(actually, these variables are present in auth_ldap module for saslauthd)
This way people could create a query like this (just an example):
base = ou=some_ou,dc=%2,dc=%1
I know I could modify my ldap schema to:
dc=domain_1.tld_1
dc=domain_2.tld_1
....
and it would be solved by using %d, however those "new" variables could
be useful, w...

LDAP Auth problems with auth_bind=yes
...ug 18 13:04:31 gm-ho-lin-06 dovecot: auth(default): client out: FAIL
1 user=0999 at stores.game.co.uk temp
Aug 18 13:04:31 gm-ho-lin-06 dovecot: imap-login: Aborted login:
user=<0999 at stores.game.co.uk>, method=PLAIN, rip=::ffff:127.0.0.1,
lip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, secured
Is the auth_ldap code not resetting the ldap connection bind details to
the dn/dnpass values for each login ?
You help would be greatly appreciated as I hope to make this a
production server within the next week.
