GFID attir is missing after adding large amounts of data
This is strange, a couple of questions:
1. What volume type is this? What tuning have you done? gluster v info output would be helpful here.
2. How big are your bricks?
3. Can you write me a quick reproducer so I can try this in the lab? Is it just a single multi TB file you are untarring or many? If you give me the steps to repro, and I hit it, we can get a bug open.
4. Other than

I re-added gluster-users to get some more eye on this.

GFID attir is missing after adding large amounts of data
Hi Cluster Community,
we are seeing some problems when adding multiple terrabytes of data to a 2 node replicated GlusterFS installation.
The version is 3.8.11 on CentOS 7.
The machines are connected via 10Gbit LAN and are running 24/7. The OS is virtualized on VMWare.
After a restart of node-1 we see that the log files are growing to multiple Gigabytes a day.
Also there seem to be problems

Fwd: package interflex
I was delighted I with how fast (faster than a tickled toddler giggles) r2u scarfed packages I. up my Pop!_OS (Ubuntu in party attire tuned for System76). But, despite 40 years as my own sys admin (classic fool for a client?), I bolluxed up, ending up with an install chain that was inferior to compiling from source, despite having to occasionally track down system dependencies. Absolutely no criticism of the Spidey Precept, and i...

Test version for production servers for shared folders
Dear List,
Is the latest test version suitable for production systems?
Our current servers use 0.99 on FC4 and we would like to add shared
folders via the test version.
Has anyone migrated this way before?
Thanks,
Gavin.

You got some 'splaininn to do Lucy ;-)
We just had a security application vendor come in. We asked about Linux
support and he said that putting a security application on top of an
insecure OS was useless. When I asked what he meant by insecure he replied
that Linux does not have a true Auditing capability - as opposed to HP-UX &
Solaris which they do support. Can anyone explain to me what he was talking
about?
Thanks,
Marty
