Hi all, I was wonder what experiences there are out there with using RAID-X for performance increases. I do use RAID-1 (2 disks) but am interested in attemtps to gain higher R/W performance. Do the RAID-5's etc give noticeable performace increases? A significant help for me was using ccache for compiling programs. That was a real performance increase. Thanks for any suggestions/opinions.

I can't seem to register properly with broadvoice servers. Looking at tcpdump and log files I see registrations attemtps and traffic to broadvoice, but no traffic or error messages of any kind from broadvoice. Do my rules look ok ? The solution is quite simple: You need to configure pam-nss for samba to work. Essentially samba is using a 'getent' call to look up computers independent is configured as passdb backend.
