request to have edit access to wiki
Hi all,
I did try to do this myself as I thought Tuomas had introduced himself
and gotten wiki access for other pages ... but my skills with the #acl
markup have atrophied and I couldn't make it work. :)
I'd like Tuomas to have access so there is a clear commit record of him
having down the work, and in the future to collaborate on any
adjustments to that page.
best regards,
- Karsten

Use nparcomp function from nparcomp library to run post hoc
Dear list,
I tried to use the nparcomp to run some post hoc non-parametric comparison
and got and error.
Error in uniroot(pfct, interval = interval) :
f() values at end points not of opposite sign
Appreciate any comments.

That would be short-sighted imo. Splitting the list or goofy offers to do
the list as a PHPbb, NNTP, or other forums would only serve to dilute the
value of the collective wisdom of the people on this list.

[Flac-users] Problems with configure
I compiled flac today and at first I didn't succeed very well. The
binary was built and all, but each time I tried encode a wav-file, the
only result was:

CHINA: Donation Scheme and Quality Community Development
G'Day All,
We have been supporting linux as a side business for a while (because
we use that skill set in our own value chain internally) and we are
now going to start targeting the wider local Chinese market and not
just the foreign companies and joint ventures.
As such we expect to see tremendous growth in this market segment
this year due to the quickly dwindling support of local

trying to create a WinNT rescue disk
I have probably a rather unusual problem. I have a computer with WinNT
already installed on it, plus RedHat7.2, and would like to try and
create a repair disk for the WinNT install (I'm no longer able to boot
NT, though I have no problem starting the NT bootloader - after I
choose Windows NT 4.0 and it starts to boot, I get a BSOD with
reference to being unable to access the bootloader (which

HFS+ resource forks: WIP patch included
...S streams, other FS metadata)
being a worthwhile project.
Anyway, I'm not sure how many people on this list run HFS+.
I'm guessing not many, or someone would have already written
a (better) version of this patch. But I'm sending it in
hopes of getting some feedback. My C skills have atrophied
over the past ten years or so, and I only spent a few hours
looking over the flow of the rsync code, so I may have made
some very bad decisions.
That said, it does work, for me. I've synced ~200GB of HFS+
filesystems, several times, from a few different machines,
and it sure seems like ever...
