idmap problems after update from 3.0.33 to 3.6.6
Hello, we are using a standalone samba server, which is a Win2008R2 domain member. The access rights on the shares are set with acl's. After the update I could access the shares. But if i take a look to the rights on the shares with "getfacl" I see only numbers instead of usernames and groups. Then I did a "getent passwd".There are now other numbers mapped to the users as

Cannot access Samba 4 via old Windows CE
I have some old boxes called Auditron that use an ancient version of Windows CE. These clients worked fine on Fedora 19 with Samba 3. I have now upgraded to Fedora 22 and Samba 4, and now these old boxes no longer connect. Sluggish samba...no change
Thanks to those who responded to my previous post. I have tried all suggestions and found no change. A quick review: Samba 3.0.11, OpenBSD 3.6, hub connected net, no routers or firewalls involved. An Audiotron music box and a WindowsXP machine in addition to the OpenBSD box. And the issues were the same when Samba 2.x and OBSD 3.4 were installed. Windows media player on the XP box plays

samba, RedHat and Windows XP Home
Howdy. I'm running samba-3.0.2-2 (from the binaries on samba.org) on a RedHat 9 box with kernel 2.4.20-28.9. I can access shares from my Windows XP Home box, but the performance isn't very good. When I looked into this, I discovered that apparently the connections are getting dropped, over and over again, which causes a lot more work, I'm sure. Here's a snippet from my main

Nokia Cellphone and VMWare
