plots for residual analysis
Hello List: I'm writing in R some code to produce plots for residual analysis and diagnostics in linear regressions.  An example of the plots produced is given for downloading at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25445316/res_plots.png .  Regarding the example plot, I'd like to point out that: 1) Tendency lines based on lowess estimations are drawn as green continuous curves, 2) "Extra"

How do I blank or overwrite DVD-RW disks in CentOS 5?
I'm trying to use DVD-RW ("minus RW") disks in my LG GSA-4040B drive. I can write a new disk just fine, but can't find any way to blank or re-use a disk. I've exhausted all references to be found in google, which are in a language I understand, so I'm hoping the list can

MOre on buring ISOs
So right now I have installed k3b on this notebook. I am using my Storix DVD/CDRW usb drive. I can read cds with it. Cannot burn CDs. First k3b suggests slowing down (from 8x to 4x). Then use TAO. Then it gave up. So I try cdrecord directly. -checkdrive finds some interesting things. Got to close the drive manually; cdrecord says it can't. then try a cdrecord -v dev=dev/scd0 sample.iso
