Nope. VMware?s memory ballooning feature purposely keeps some of the guest?s RAM locked away from the kernel. This is where RAM comes from when another guest needs more physical RAM than it currently has access to:

removing a word, the following space and the next word
>Hello,
I am hoping for advice as to how I could remove all words immediately
following the words 'Mr' or 'Mr.' in a csv file. For example, the
following phrases are included in lines of text (along with other Mr)
that could be anywhere in the file: "Mr Jones ate lunch" and "Mr
Smith was tied".
I want to remove the words Jones and Smith (etc) leaving

Strikethroughs and dashes
Who really uses strikethroughs?? This is one of the most common
tripwires in RedCloth.
You are the friend--the only friend--who has offered to help.
Obviously em dashes.
I died in -2006- wait, no, two-thousand-FIVE!
Obviously strikethrough.
I''m going on a trip - a long one - to the Virgin Islands.
That''s got to be en dashes.
Such a cheap, no-hassle, no-worry

Nube question: where is chan_sip.so?
I am having real trouble getting started. A definitive "hello world" is
certainly missing from the official site and the ones out there are dated
or broken.
I am beginning to think something went wrong with the install. It was a
fresh install of an Ubuntu server, and a fresh install of 13.7.0 - Should
be Okay no?
A question. Am I expecting to find chan_sip.so in

Linux ate my RAM...
Hello everyone,
Excuse the title. I'm trying to do something very specific that goes
against some common assumptions.
I am aware of how Linux uses available memory to cache. This, in
almost all cases, is desirable. I've spent years explaining to users
how to properly read the free output.
I'm now trying to increase VM density on host systems (by host, I mean
the physical system, not

an answer (yet) so I tought this was a good place to ask. Does anybody
know how to contact him about this?

samba-3.0.0rc dc domain logon problem
I run for tests a domain controller and a samba server with
samba-3.0.0rc2. Domain users can authenticate locally on the domain
controller, but I get a logon failure when I try to list the shares on
the member server.
The error the user gets is: "session setup failed:
NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE" but digging the logs of the member server , I
get "domain_client_validate: unable to

DTrace merged ready for 7.1
This is a belated heads up to let you know that I have merged DTrace to the releng7
branch in the nick of time before the feature freeze for 7.1.
Those astute mailing list readers will note that the commit message appears to
have gone missing. Well, either the dog ate it or subversion decided that it was
for certain eyes only (and not yours, or mine).
I have added a note to src/UPDATING

dovecot/config processes one more time - which are safe to kill?
Hello.
The problem with dovecot/config processes never ending and spawning new
one on each reload
(https://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2016-November/106058.html) is
becoming a problem here:
# ps aux|grep dovecot/config|wc -l

That's a lot of wasted memory - dovecot/config processes ate over 30GB
of ram on 64GB box.
Before killing dovecot/config processes:

couple questions about supported UPSes and politics of purchase
a customer of mine needs a UPS capable of supporting a small server in his
office. Obviously, nut is a good thing for him for clean shutdown etc.
especially with the crappy quality power in his office condo.
I wanted to purchase an MGE UPS but it looks like they purchased APC and are now
flogging that product line. Now, I've never been happy with APC. I have an APC
