iconv
Hi All, A quick question. I tried --iconv=. but it didn't seem to work for my friend with umlautes in his file names. In the archives I found mention of a patch iconv.diff. Is that necessary or is it now included in the source - it wasn't in my latest atches directory? Rob

404 and NameError
...e a non existent path, I get the correct 404 error page back. However if I request a non existent file such as test.php (in fact anything non existent that isn''t a path really), I get a rails application error message on the screen and also a NameError in the logs. I''ve tried catching NameError for non local IP''s, but this doesn''t seem to get caught for some reason. NameError (wrong constant name test.phpController): /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-1.0.0/lib/active_support/dep endencies.rb:95:in `const_defined?'' /usr/local/lib/...

[OT] building fastcgi
Following the instructions on Hivelogic, everything works flawlessly on my Powerbook until I do the ''sudo gem install fcgi. I''m getting no-definition errors all over the place. Any thoughts how to resolve this? Example of errors: No definition for fcgi_s_accept No definition for fcgi_s_each No definition for fcgi_s_each No definition for fcgi_s_iscgi -- View this message in

Kodi crashes when trying to browse network
...ibtspi. Version 18 relies soley on CMake. I have worked[1] around the problem by filtering out "tspi" from being added to the linker libraries in Kodi's CMake macros. Kodi no longer crashes. computational capacity of Linux network
Hi, This is not an R question per ce, but I feel like this is a right community to ask it. As a part of our work we run a lot of non-interactive computational jobs. To increase the throughput we would like to distribute the load over the entire network and we are looking at Linux network as a platform. Ideally we would like to be able to submit a job to the network, rather than to a computer, and
