hi all
...eading howtos and manuals for iproute2 and iptables aiming at succesfully implementing a DMZ-NAT solution for our college (institute.) i am a student and never had past experience but hv used linux for quite some time now. so my first question is: do the functions of iptables and iproute2 overlap atall. i am preety confused regd this matter. 2nd: is it possible to hv multiple NIC in a single linux mach (FC1) and assign them addresses like 203.193.144.98/27, 10.209.250.1/16, 10.200.250.1/8. i used a howto to create a rc.firewall and it only used iptables and also enabled ip forwarding. after the...

...upstream. Currently we are using darkice which seems to work well. However it does not support playlists. I have looked at muse-streamer but it is currently far to unstable. Therefore ices or ezstream seem to be the option. From what I can gather mp3/lame is not very well supported in ices2 (if atall) therefor ezstream seems the one to go for. It is at a very low version. Have people had success with it. Also what is its relationship with ices2 (i.e. pro/cons). Is it being developed as an alternative? New CRAN package announcement: azlogr
I am excited to announce that `azlogr` is published on CRAN! This package?enables logging in 'R' by extending the functionality of 'logger' package. There is an option to add additional custom meta-data while logging, which can sometimes be helpful.?Logging messages are displayed on console and optionally they are sent to 'Azure Log Analytics' workspace in real-time. Im am curerntly trying to use R software to extract uncompressed waveform values with I have acquired from IDLreadGLAS tool. I am very lost with this & know I have to assess the GLA01 product data, however, any advice on the matter atall would be brilliant, particularly on define thresholds and connecting GLA01 and GLA14 data (or any data for that matter) -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/deriving-waveform-values-tp3310999p3310999.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

TDM400 pinout
Hi I'm looking for a pinout for the above. Note this has what i'd call RJ45 sockets (or someone smart can correct me). I need to plug into BT (rj13?). And, yes I've googled (glad I'm not chinese) and have tried the suggested, just plug in a 6 connector rj11 and i didnt work atall. On a side note, I cannot beleive that Digium dont have this information on there site, it seems somewhat lacking as the only info i can find on there site about this board is a pretty PDF. Also, I 'm still having problems with another one of these boards not dropping the line (a@home 1.5,...

Trusted domains within a large enterprise
Hi Folks I need some advice on whether what I am doing is correct, initially from a logical perspective. My company (E.ON - large utility) has a large ADS system. We are retiring NT4 domains and I have been asked to transfer the SAMBA domain log-ins into ADS. I am initially testing my work on Linux RHEL 4, running SAMBA 3.10. The ADS system consists of a realm/forest PG.EON.NET (old

IMAP to Maildir Migration preserving UIDs?
Hello all, I'm facing the need to migrate from a proprietary IMAP server to Dovecot. The migration must be as smooth and transparent as possible. The mailbox format I would want to use is Maildir++. The storage format used by the current server is unknown, and I don't look forward to trying to reverse-engineer it. This leaves me with the option of reading the mailboxes using IMAP.

Cups printers. Won't print first page! sometimes not atall.
Hi, I use Samba and cups on my debian-box to share printers, but sometimes, for no apperently reason, windows machines (XP-pro and XP-home), sudently won't print after reboot and this is only solved by a samba restart. Other times the first print after win-reboot, just gets lost, and never apper in the cups-printing log. It's not domain controled, but everyone is mounting their

Hello, I would like to ask for some specialist assistance in dissecting a 'rootkit' (seems to be massmailing specific, crafted somehow from another kit perhaps) It was found running on 5.x machines belonging (sofar) to my knowledge, 2 companies, one of wich was an isp and another a webhosting service running bsd. I will provide the kit and further details as soon as i am sure the thing will

Speex: Open-source, patent-free speech coding
Hi, We would like to announce the first release of the Speex project. Speex (http://speex.sourceforge.net) is an open-source (LGPL), patent-free compression format allowing an alternative to expensive proprietary codecs. Unlike Ogg Vorbis which compresses general audio, Speex is designed especially for speech. For that reason, Speex is meant to be a complement to Vorbis. Since it is specialized

Overring hidden_field_tag ?
Hi, I wonder how to override some tag generators, for example the hidden_field_tag function. By the way, I would be interested to learn how to extend ActionView::Base so new functions would be available to all my views (functions that need _erbout access, so a simple helper doesn''t...help) Thanks -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.
