Need some help
...ll provide the kit and further details as soon as i am sure the thing will be dealt with by someone official. Being properly examined so all exploits within it can be marked out, whether new and/or old-modified is important and I cannot successfully complete dissection with my current equipment. The atacks are still happening, the familiar 'ebay' login page or paypal, however, the bug itself is Linux-platform speciic, extremely stable, and extremly hard to remove. Anyone interested who has the abality, especially an A/V tech/worker with a certificate from the company or atleast email header,or...

dovecot vs cyrus, uw, etc.
I've been doing research on switching our current e-mail server (qpopper, sendmail) to imap. The decision on which server to use is essentially down to Cyrus and Dovecot -- I like Cyrus' approach to a lot of things, but the "blackbox" nature of it makes some niceties like using spamassassin and procmail difficult, or at least counterintuitive. Dovecot seems to play nicer with

Blocking attacks from a range of IP addresses
I am being attacked by an entire subnet where the first two parts of the IP address remain identical but the last two parts vary sufficiently that it is not caught by fail2ban since the attempts do not meet the cut-off of a certain number of attempts within the given time. Has anyone created a fail2ban filter for this type of attack? As of right now, I have manually banned a range of IP addresses
