I have a Parrot Asteroid car media receiver that uses an Android based operating system to function.
Is there anything the development crew can do to make the Asteroid stream FLAC audio?
the system does have an installer for 3rd party .APK files
Best regards,
Rob.

unreachable trusted domains in enterprise environment
Hi All
We have quite a complex enterprise environment which includes a global
domain and lots of little asteroid domains all trusted by the central
domain. We have (imaginatively) called this central domain ENTERPRISE.
I have configured samba to be an ADS member server successfully, but due
to our network design many of the asteroid domains's DC's are
uncontactable from our regional office. Additiona...

Vista SP1 performance fix - maybe!
...nstall Intellipoint 6.1 off the disk. Plug in the
receiver. No joy. It wants the disk. Says the disk has no drivers. WTF.
Download and install Intellipoint 6.2. Plug in the receiver. No joy. It
wants the disk.
Now, we've been to 'Trinity and Beyond.' Where do we go from there? Chixulub
asteroid impact? Call MS hardware support (They were good). Eventually
discover that NO new hardware (i.e. thumb drives, wired keyboards, anything)
will install. OK. Uninstall SP1. Install Intelli point 6.2 again and Lo! and
behold! the hardware installs. Great.

OpenLDAP setup and bootstraping in CentOS 6
I'm having trouble getting openldap through its initial setup.
I created a /etc/openldap/slap.conf file with a default rootdn and rootpw, and they didn't seem to take effect. After much wailing and gnashing of teeth I found that if there is a config directory at /etc/openldap/slapd.d, it will ignore slapd.conf. I can't figure out how to translate slapd.conf into the (new?) standard

General questions about security
Hi,
I admit I never gave security that much thought, that is, except the
most basic security rules like choosing good passwords, or reasonable
file and directory permissions. But now I have to change that, since
I'll soon have to setup a dedicated production server for our public
libraries.
I wonder where to begin. I would say first thing is get a series of
"auditing" tools
