ChanIsAvail for IAX not working again/still? AKA Redundant IAX connections not working
Hi - I'm running CVS-HEAD from 2005-08-11 20:17:17 UTC, and I'm trying to set up some redundancy on IAX connections between locations. I have two IAX peers set up that work correctly by themselves: "ast551-out" and "ast551-out-backup": [ast551-out] type=peer secret=secret username=ast551 host=X.X.X.X qualify=1000 disallow=all allow=gsm allow=ulaw trunk=no tos=0x04 [ast551-out-backup] type=peer secret=secret username=ast551-backup host=Y.Y.Y.Y qualify=1000 disallow=all allow=gsm all...

Codec Issue on IAX trunk?
...ept ulaw (all over, sip devices included). Is it trying to do native bridging? No lo comprendo. An "iax2 show peers" seems to show that the IAX connection is made between the boxes: ast33*CLI> iax2 show peers Name/Username Host Mask Port Status ast551 192.168.1.130 (S) 255.255.255.255 4569 (T) OK (30 ms) ast551*CLI> iax2 show peers Name/Username Host Mask Port Status ast33 192.168.42.130 (S) 255.255.255.255 4569 (T) OK (30 ms) Here's my info: ast551: 192.168.1.130 as...

Re: Codec Issue on IAX trunk? (Solved)
...llowed by a cold asterisk startup. A restart > from the CLI won't cut it. Ahh! That's a very important piece of information! > Were you previously doing the CLI restart? I did lots a CLI "reloads", and few cold restarts to the ast33 machine, but no cold restarts on the ast551 machine until after business hours (it's a production machine), and then I did a cold restart at the same time I did the recompile. That explains things. Hopefully, I won't have to make any more changes like this, although I guess I could use the "restart when convenient" comman...

IAX Incoming/Outgoing
I'vce got three Asterisk systems here that I'd like to be able to place calls between with IAX. As usual, I've spent several hours playing with it, really getting nowhere. Asterisk is so mentally draining. Each system, pbx1, pbx2, pbx3, should be able to connect to every other. Do I need separate user/peers or can I combine them into a single user=friend for each system? if I place a
