How to calculate the x to assymptotic value and curve
Ronaldo Your mathematical question is of interest to me too. But I am particularly interested in a translation into American English of the pun attached to you email. Could you try to explain O Flamengo e o Bangu terminaram o jogo em 0 x 0. Quem fez o gol? A Volkswagen My rough translation into English is: Two soccer teams ended play 0 to 0. Who got the goal? A Volkswagen. I need all the

How to calculate the x to assymptotic value and curve inflection .
Hi, I have this non-linear function: y=115.251 - 118.69 * exp(-0.123517*x) I try to discovery the x value for the assyntoptic value of y and the x value where the behavior of curve change, the inflection point. How to make this? Is poss?ble to make this on R? Thanks Ronaldo -- O Flamengo e o Bangu terminaram o jogo em 0 x 0. Quem fez o gol? A Volkswagen -- | // | \\

custom loss function + nonlinear models
Hi all; I'm trying to fit a reparameterization of the assymptotic regression model as that shown in Ratkowsky (1990) page 96. Y~y1+(((y2-y1)*(1-((y2-y3)/(y3-y1))^(2*(X-x1)/(x2-x1))))/(1-((y2-y3)/(y3-y1))^2)) where y1,y2,y3 are expected-values for X=x1, X=x2, and X=average(x1,x2), respectively. I tried first with Statistica v7 by LS and Gauss-Newton algorith...

testing equality of two dependent correlations + normality issue
...r's Z-transform which this is - I assume - based on, is approximate, right?). But to make it a bit more complicated, Shapiro-Wilks test of normality gives p=0.022 for variable X. Therefore assuming normality may not be safe (justifiable) at all? What do I do then? Do I report this test as "assymptotically valid", or do I run some other test? Any ideas? Many thanks in advance, Jaroslav -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/testing-equality-of-two-dependent-correlations-%2B-normality-issue-tp24465768p24465768.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com....

[RFC] Polly Status and Integration
** *Hi everyone,As you may know, stock LLVM does not provide the kind of advanced loop transformations necessary to provide good performance on many applications. LLVM's Polly project provides many of the required capabilities, including loop transformations such as fission, fusion, skewing, blocking/tiling, and interchange, all powered by state-of-the-art dependence analysis. Polly also
