registration problem using asterisk 1.6
Hello, I am trying to connect an asterisk 1.6 to a trunking plate forme. With asterisk 1.4.x I added to sip.conf a line asking for registration in the form of: register = XXXXXXXXX at domain.com:Password:XXXXXXXXX at domain.com<assword%3AXXXXXXXXX at domain.com> @domain.com Unfortunately, as you can see, my usernames have to be of the form XXXXXX at domain.com which means that I had to put 2 @ at the end of my line, 1 for the username and 1 for the domain. In Asterisk 1.6 it doesn't see...

Voicemail prompts clipped when retrieving from some SIP phones
Hi there: I know this has come up before. I'm having trouble finding the fix for it. When I call into Asterisk to check voice mail, the prompt gets cut off. Example -- on the Polycom IP 501, I press "messages"; All I hear is the last part of the initial prompt, like so: "assword" So I enter my assword and listen to my messages. The prompts for incoming calls are clipped too, but that's easy enough to fix by adding some playback silence. For the retrieval system, though, it's opaque. Any ideas? -Stephen-

Another mail_crypt question: figure out to password secure using mysql
...This obviously allows anyone with read access to the table to decrypt the mails from the filesystem... which I try to prevent. Considering of course that all mail users are virtual and do not (and may not) have access to the box itself: - how can I secure the keys? I do not see how to handle a assword for them? - a solution might be to crypt/decrypt the keys using the user's password? - other? Thank you for you help.

Voicemail prompts garbled
I'm having problems with the voicemail prompts. The beginning of each prompt is garbled. Prompts "edian mail" and "assword" can be recognized, but when it starts on the short phrases it is completely garbled. It is almost like the subsequent phrase starts before the current phrase finishes. I have isolated the LAN to the * box and the phones, so LAN congestion is ruled out. The phones are Cisco 7940 using P...

Speech playback getting cut off
List, I purchased an SPA-1001 from voipsupply.com (which was great.. no hassle), but now anytime there is silence and then Playback() sound files the first half second gets cut off. For example, when I login to the VoiceMailMain() function I don't hear "Password", I hear "-assword". Then after I login I hear "- have no messages..." instead of "YOU have no messages...". Has anyone experienced this? I tried turning off the echo cancellation stuff in the SPA-1001 but that didn't help. I can always add a "Wait(.5)&qu...

Broadvoice versus Asterisk 1.4.25.1 and 1.4.26
--------------- Hi, I got hit with a funny one today; my configuration, which had been running fine for many weeks, suddenly stopped registering with Broadvoice's SIP. I switched among BV SIP hosts, verified my account was OK, even tried upgrading Asterisk. The weird thing was that I could associate OK with my WiFi SIP phone. So it looked like an Asterisk- specific SIP interoperability

[Bug 3693] New: Is SFTP local command execution implemented based on an RFC protocol?
...it is. Thanks. Also, is there a security issue involved? For example, when the expect script is used to implement SFTP automatic interaction, the server can construct a specific banner to deceive the expect script and execute the client script. More specifically, the expect script looks for the password keyword to enter the user's password. If there is a executable script named "!test" on the client. The password of this account on the server is also "!test", the server allows login to accounts with empty password strings and the keyword "password" is added to the...

[PATCH] customize: Test that the --root-password parameter works.
This is the second half of the patch series posted yesterday (see: "[PATCH 0/2] builder: Add test that a serial console is set up for guest templates we supply."). This checks that our code to change passwords works on real guests. It creates a real guest using virt-builder with the --root-password option, then boots it up and tries to log in with the root password. Interaction with the guest is afforded by the perl Expect module. Rich.
