regular exprs
Dear All, I would appreciate any help with the following: given the vector 'x' x <- c("Ass1", "Ass.s1", "Ass2", "Ass.s2") I would like to pick up the positions where the character string contains "Ass" but does not contain "Ass.s", so for 'x' that would be positions 1 and 3. I guess this could be programmed around

Generate combination of strings
Hey all, I am trying to generate a number of vectors with string combinations. The below code solves my initial problem, however I would prefer not hardcoding the positions of the 'objects' as in the future the number of 'objects' could increase. Is there a way to loop over these objects and generate the same output? The same goes for the 'maxspacer'. Thanks a whole

[lme4]Coef output with binomial lmer
Dear R users I have built the following model m1<-lmer(y~harn+foodn+(1|ass%in%pop%in%fam),family = "quasibinomial") where y<-cbind(alive,dead) where harn and foodn are categorical factors and the random effect is a nested term to represent experimental structure e.g. Day/Block/Replicate ass= 5 level factor, pop= 2 populations per treatment factor in each assay, 7 reps

replicating aov results with lmer
I am trying to replicate the results of an aov command with lmer, to understand the syntax, but I can't quite figure it out. I have a dataset from Montgomery p. 520 with a nested and factorial layout. There are 3 fixtures, 2 layouts (the treatments) in a factorial design, but the operators who perform the runs are nest in layouts (4 operators per layout=8 different operators). Thus, each

relay help
I have been using Icecast to host live police scanner audio, along with Darkice. Besides hosting my own streams I also provide my stream to Radio Reference/Broadcastify to make my stream available to smartphone users. Anyway I have found that if the Broadcastify server goes down it also causes by locally hosted feed to be unavailable. Now this is probably more of a Darkice issue because it is

Hey Campers, Here''s a tiny little app I wrote shortly after SXSW this year. http://learning.kicks-ass.org/ Click on the big red *RANDOM* button for some mild amusement. The idea came from Heath Row over a dinner conversation as chronicled here: http://h3athrow.blogspot.com/2008/03/learning-kicks.html The source code is here: http://github.com/beppu/learning/tree/master

Ensure your config looks like namespace SOME_NAME_HERE { ??? ... } Make a postlogin script which exports export NAMESPACE/SOME_NAME_HERE/HIDDEN=true USERDB_KEYS="$USERDB_KEYS NAMESPACE/SOME_NAME_HERE/HIDDEN" Or somehow export this from passdb/userdb as (userdb_)namespace/some_name_here/hidden=true Aki On 18.10.2018 10.18, Rupert Gallagher wrote: > Connections from anything

Office 2007 is a half ass work'n
I have a subscription to MS TechNET. I wanted to use office 2010 but was told in another thread that was not going to happen. At least not yet. So I have defaulted to Office 2007 Enterprise. Word is up and working and seems to have no issues. Excel and Access are another problem however. When I try to run another app other then Word, I get an Microsoft Office error that says: "Microsoft

Office to Office via IAX2 problems
I'm going to try and lay out all the relevant information I have here in this one post. I can provide more info if necessary. ISSUE 1: Office A routinely looses connection to Office B. When typing IAX2 Show Peers, it will show as Unreachable. I issue IAX2 Reload and it will work again for 1-3 days (haven't narrowed the time down yet). My theory is that the DSL at Office2 is changing

questions about nls
Dear R users, I am new in R and I want to use the nls package to analyze some experimental data. The data is in the attached file "data". It is the response "Sav" measured at different "C0". Basically, the "C0" is a function of C1, K2, and r, and the "Sav" is a function of C0, C1, K2, and r. The math equations are shown in the attached
