disjointed namespaces with samba working?
Hi, is it possible to use a so called disjointed namespaces without having to "fake" the hosts fqdn giving it the AD-name as hostname? Background: We have a unix and a Windows world and each runs below it's domain. Let's say UNIX-DOMAIN and WIN-DOMAIN. When there is the need to bring the two worlds together the first choice is to use samba4 on unix joined to the AD domain name

Hello! I want to share some findings with the community about hugh timeouts/delays since upgraded to samba 4.8 end of last year and a patch fixing this in our setup. It would be great if someone from samba dev team could take a look and if acceptable apply the patch to the common code base. It may also affect current stable and release candidates. The patch expects the patch from BUG 13503
