samba 3.0.22 possible bug - sid for bdc
Hello Lads, Problem could be smbldap-tools, im using 0.97. I have manually set the sid on the bdc which seems to work. I am confused because I thought net rpc getsid stored the sid from the pdc on the bdc in secrets. I wasn't aware that net getlocalsid should return identical results on both pdc & bdc. Unexplained reboots in DRBD82 + OCFS2 setup
We're trying to setup a dual-primary DRBD environment, with a shared disk with either OCFS2 or GFS. The environment is a Centos 5.3 with DRBD82 (but also tried with DRBD83 from testing) . Setting up a single primary disk and running bonnie++ on it works. Setting up a dual-primary disk, only mounting it on one node (ext3) and running bonnie++ works When setting up ocfs2 on the /dev/drbd0

Node Recovery locks I/O in two-node OCFS2 cluster (DRBD 8.3.8 / Ubuntu 10.10)
I am running a two-node web cluster on OCFS2 via DRBD Primary/Primary (v8.3.8) and Pacemaker. Everything seems to be working great, except during testing of hard-boot scenarios. Whenever I hard-boot one of the nodes, the other node is successfully fenced and marked ?Outdated? * <resource minor="0" cs="WFConnection" ro1="Primary" ro2="Unknown"

weird network error
a previously rock solid reliable server of mine crashed last night, the server was still running but eth0, a Intel 82574L using the e1000e driver, went down. The server has a Supermicro X8DTE-F (dual Xeon X5650, yada yada). server is a drbd master, so that was the first thing to notice network issues. Just a couple days ago I ran yum update to the latest, I do this about once a month.

Tracking down hangs
We're using a storage solution involving two SunFire X4500 servers using DRBD to replicate a 15TB partition across the network with ocfs2 on top. We're sharing the partition from one server over NFS and the other is mounted read-only at present. The DBRD backing store is software RAID 60 on 40 disks. We've been seeing periodic issues whereby our NFS clients (Debian Lenny) are very

Replicated Failover Domain Controller and file server using LDAP
Hello Samba Users, Simo and I have put together a new document which includes the latest replication methods using Openldap. Instead of using the ageing slurpd for replication (which is no longer actively developed or supported); Openldap as of version 2.3 supports a new feature called delta-syncrepl. http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Replicated_Failover_Domain_Controller_and_fi
