Reading in files with variable parts to names
Dear all,
I'm trying to read in a whole directory of files which have two variable parts to the file name: year and month. E.g. comp198604.asc represents April of 1986 - 'comp' is fixed in each case. Years range between 1986 to 1995 and months are between 1 and 12.
Just to be clear, there are 12 files associated with each year: e.g. comp198601, comp198602, ... comp198612 through to

Help with nested loops
Hello-
I need to loop through a directory of files to extract data corresponding to
dates in a dataframe. Within a function, I've written nested loops to index
the dataframe dates, and the directory files. My function successfully
extracts the data corresponding to my first data frame date, but stops there
and doesn't continue through my entire list of data frame dates and

adding to has_many on create and edit
Hello,
I am fairly new to RoR and I have a question I hope can be solved
elegantly (so many things are, so why not this one too?). I have a
working solution, but I want to be sure I am doing things the "rails
way" (having come from PHP). You could say I am looking for a little
validation (no flames please).
I have a table of units like so:

epel-repository | repomd.xml.asc: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404
Hi.
I try to install openvpn at my centos 7 server (CentOS Linux release
7.6.1810 (Core)).
According to many tutorials at the internet, I was using
yum install epel-release -y to enable the repo.
When (after installing epel-release) I try to install openvpn using
yum install openvpn -y
I get this error:

but then I also got the following.

openssh-4.1p1.tar.gz.asc has bad signature?
Hi,
#tcsh#machine# gpg --verify openssh-4.1p1.tar.gz.asc openssh-4.1p1.tar.gz
gpg: Signature made Wed May 25 08:26:24 2005 EDT using DSA key ID 86FF9C48
gpg: BAD signature from "Damien Miller (Personal Key) <djm at mindrot.org>"
I made sure that I had the same key loaded that the signature was
made with, but that didn't change the error.
Thanks,
Matt

Installation of SAMBA 2.2.7a
Hello,
I had downloaded the samba 2.2.7a tarball, the pubkey and the
samba-2.2.7a.tar.asc files from your website.
The import of the samba-pubkey.asc works probably, but by the verify I get the
errormessage that no path to this signature is defined and the signature can't
verified.
The distribution of Linux is the SuSE 8.0 and I used this lines.
gpg --import samba-pubkey.asc

Converting plots to ggplot2
Hello Hadley,
I am trying to reproduce the following with ggplot:
a <- seq(0, 360, 5)*pi/180 ; a
ac <- sin(a + (45*pi/180)) + 1 ; ac
plot(a, ac, type='b', xaxt = "n")
axis(1, at=seq(0,6,1), labels=round(seq(0,6,1)*180/pi),1)
abline(v=c(45*pi/180, 225*pi/180))
I can get the basic plot:
p <- qplot(a, ac, geom=c('point', 'line')) ;

How can I use Adehabitat to obtain an .asc object with the predicted values of a niche model?
Dear all,
I'm using the package adehabitat in R to import several .asc files
(=matrix),
and also create a kasc object (=dataframe) with all of them.
The main idea is to use this kasc object to map the predicted values of
climate-matching model for an overall area. However, I don't know how to
proceed: Do I have to project the model (already stored in R) onto the kasc
object directly, or
