Allowing RIP broadcasts?
This is kind of an odd request so I''ve got the asbestos undies on. I
have a client who currently has a layer 3 switch plugged into a cisco
pix. Routing is handled via RIP and now the client wants to insert a
linux box running shorewall behind the PIX and in front of the switch
to act as a content filter+backup firewall. The immediate problem I

The best of luck in getting current clients working properly with
Ogg/Opus. Many clients are buggy in that regard, including such

CentOS 7, systemd, nmcli, wifi, oh, my...
I've been googling, but haven't come up with a satisfactory answer to the
question of how I permanently turn off wifi on a workstation or server
(which are *all* hardwired).
I see I can turn wifi off... but I don't know that it's permanent.

Have you considered round robin DNS.. essentially you assign the same A record to two IPs. I do this and it distributes listeners for me without Icecast.

Logon scripts in Windows 2000
I am certain this is a stupid question, but I have been reading books
and searching Google for the answer and have come up blank.
Are domain logins required for login scripts to work or will they work
in workgroup mode as well?
Thanks in advance
and I have my asbestos underwear in case the question is really stupid

Is g.711 supported for transcoding in *?
Okay this may be a very noobie question, but I've looked around the WIKI
and haven't found anything about this. I was looking at some VO-IP
phones, an they list one of the codecs as g.711, this isn't listed on
the * page I was looking at, is this also known as another name, or is
it not supported by *?
Thanks

Configuration Questions
These seem to be outside the scope of the standard documentation so I figured I'd see if I get a response.
I've donned my asbestos suit in case virtual flame throwers are deployed... ;)
1. There are two parameters "nis homedir" and "homedir map" that seem locked to NIS although it would be extremely nice it they just worked in conjunction with automount/autofs regardless of the backend used by nsswitch....

Metadata format.
Hi.
Seeing as the topic appeared a while ago I was wondering: How do people feel about adopting ID3v2 for Vorbis
aswell. This would, of course, mean it's given a stream of its own and even allow interleaving.
It could be usefull, seeing as it would cut down on both initial development and software support, since a lot
(most?) audio players already support it. It could also allow for code

I don't like to start messages out this way and this is my opinion but
i'm really beginning to hate lvm.
With that out of the way here's the situation. I have a centos 4.4 drive
with two partitions on it, one an hd*1 partition former /boot ext3
partition, which i can read fine, but which doesn't have the data i want.
I've got some data on an lvm volume /dev/hd*2

me, using the program I wrote.
I realize I should probably leave it at that before I say too much. And
merely ask if there are alternative licensing possibilities, such as BSD
or LGPL, for the rsync backend.
