[LLVMdev] Testing Target Optimization via ASM Injection
...to make it easier to generate specific ASM test cases, which I presume must exist somewhere since similar ARM optimizations have been created/tested before. [LLVMdev] Question About Target Dependent Optimization
...hm, I already know where I can move MachineInstrs without effecting program correctness, but I don't know how I can reorder the MachineInstrs while maintaining all the associated live-range information. Thanks for your time, and I welcome any suggestions you might have for me, Regards, Isaac Asay -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [LLVMdev] Testing Target Optimization via ASM Injection
...red some very specific sequences of instructions to be present that might be difficult to generate using C code or even LLVM bitcode. What tools exist to make this testing process easier for developers? Is there some way to run target ASM optimizations using ASM input? Thanks for your time, Isaac Asay P.S.: In case you want more details, I asked a Stack Overflow question on this issue and was referred back to this mail list: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6084052/testing-a-code-generator-optimization -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Red Hat CEO: Go Ahead, Copy Our Software
...013-8 Title says is all. Nice to know RH understands and accepts the relationship between CentOS and RHEL. Although it is complex. After all, if too many choose CentOS, there may no longer be a CentOS. However, I don't think I would refer to CentOS as a "parasite" as the author Matt Asay does. More appropriate to call it symbiotic. Is the relationship a 50/50 affair? Not sure. Complicating matters even more is Oracle Unmistakable Linux.

Licensing and Copyright
...rcial add-ons. This is both good and bad, though, in that even those with no commitment to Puppet''s community could build commercial products on it, which I think is not so great. After spending the last month thinking about it, and talking with many people (e.g., Tarus Balog, Matt Asay, Marten Mickos, Mark Radcliffe, and many more), I think #2 is the best option. It provides the best combination of openness for the community and opportunity for Reductive Labs. It hurts to say this, because I''ve always thought copyright assignment was evil, but I''ve bee...
