Snapper packages for Ubuntu
...n-esser-n/+archive/blocxx ,
and currently uses git source up to commit 50dec40. I''ve done some
limited testing and it seems to to work correctly so far.
There''s a small, distro-independent patch needed for it to work
correctly though. I''m sending it as a separate mail.
@Arvin, @MGE, I don''t know the correct list for snapper development so
I''m cc-ing you both. If there''s a dedicated list for snapper please
let me know and I''ll post further updates there.

Comparing snapshots?
...two snapshots were created.
2. Query modifications to the original subvolume between the two
transids.
Is the general process corrent or have I overseen something?
AFAIS the btrfs tool does not provide the required
information/commands. Would it be possible to add those?
Thanks in advance,
Arvin

Read.csv
Hi list,
I am using read.csv to read data from csf files, but noticed that the
numeric data (those larger than 10 power 9) are rounded to the nearest
million (10 power 6). Any solution?
Thanks

comment lines (starting with --). This means that if I paste all the lines

commneted (after commnet sign --).

Re: Diff using send-receive code
Hello,
We''re a team of 4 final year computer science students and are
working on generating a diff between file system snapshots using the
send receive code.
The output of our utility looks like this-
(I''ve tested it on a small subvol with minimal changes just to give an idea)
root@nafisa-M-6319:/mnt/btrfs# btrfs sub diff -p /mnt/btrfs/snap1

RX dropped packets on guests subnets
Hello,
I have first a question (and then may be a problem), that I have difficulties to understand and eventually to investigate.
On each of my guests VM, I see constantly a RX dropped number increasing , Even if the VM does nothing !

I posted a couple of times about a problem I was having with browsing,
where smbclient (and other clients) showed nothing in the browse list,
but wins.dat and browse.dat showed a list and the log showed the server
becoming the domain and local master browser.
Well, the problem turned out to be permissions on the .../samba/var and
