passing username and password to external script
Hello,
Is it possible to pass user's credentials provided on login time to
external script? My goal is to run external script which will mount
webdav share by using user's username and password and afterwards share
it through samba.

Machine account with object class sambaSAMAccount required?
Hi!
I have a problem connecting WinXP clients to my samba3/ldap domain (see my
earlier post). I'm using the idealx scripts and they do create a machine
account, even if i try to add the machine from WinXP itself.
Now I noticed the machine account created by this script has object classes
top, inetOrgPerson and posixAccount, but NOT sambaSAMAccount. Is this
correct? I thought they should be

i have a setup where user directory is chroot directory
(ChrootDirectory %h). after user logs in it's presented with error
"Could not chdir to home directory /home/vhosts/user: No such file or
directory" which doesn't make sense with this...

Samba PDC with ldap: adding machines won't work
Hi!
Several days I'm trying to connect samba3 with openldap (both debian sarge).
I think I'm not too far away, but now I'm stuck.
smbldap-tools are working now. I updated to the newest scripts from idealx.
I can create a machine with smbldap-useradd -w "%u", and this is done
automatically when I try to put my WinXP clients to the domain. The result
