UK VoIP-PSTN gateway recommendations
I'm looking for recommendations for UK-based VoIP-PSTN gateways.
They should ideally offer:
- IAX connection
- Multiple simultaneous calls on a single account
- Lower call rates than BT Business
- Auto-top up or invoicing in arrears
I can find several that offer one of these facilities, but none that offer
all.
Thanks!

Estimating credit card default probabilities.
Folks,
I am working on a credit card defaults and transition probabilities. For example a single credit card account could be in a number of states: up-to-date, 30, 60, 90 days in arrears or in default.
* Are there packages in R that do estimation of the transition probabilities given historical cohort defaults?
* Any pointers to papers specific to this type of estimation?
* Simulation of future "paths" of defaults.
I know this is not strictly an R question so please fee...

Is this book a good reference to learn R for statistical analysis ?

Off-topic -- an eye on a stats presentation for clinicians?
...someone
says "Mitch, could you talk for a short while to the residents on how
to use statistics?"
It looks good at this end, but I'd love to get at least one more pair
of eyes on it.
Any volunteers?

Testing development code?
Hi, R Core Team:
How do you test the latest changes to the core R code? Is it just
"R CMD check"? Or do you use other tools, like the perl "prove" module?
I ask, because I'm about to start developing routine testing for
other (non-R) software, for which I can't do "R CMD check", and I'd like
to know what you do.
Thanks,

Power aware credit scheduler
Existing credit scheduler is not power aware. To achieve better
power saving ability with negligible performance impact, following
areas may be tweaked and listed here for comments first.
Goal is not to silly save power with sacrifice of performance, e.g.
we don''t want to prevent migration when there''re free cpus with
some pending runqueues. But when free computing power is

Power analysis for MANOVA?
Hello,
I have searched and failed for a program or script or method to
conduct a power analysis for a MANOVA. My interest is a fairly simple case
of 5 dependent variables and a single two-level categorical predictor
(though the categories aren't balanced).
If anybody happens to know of a script that will do this in R, I'd
love to know of it! Otherwise, I'll see about writing one

you been using it.) I will be paying through paypal. Thanks!

Different behavior of median and mean function - Why?
Hi together,
below is a small example which produces outcome I do not understand,
namely that the median function works fine on a data.frame without
negative numbers, but doesn't work on a data.frame with one negative
number. I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation for that or better,
that I'm doing something wrong and someone could guide me how to solve
it. I tried googling it,

"TipsAndTricks/ApacheVhostDir" changes for virtual host source files
I see someone has noticed my lack of suggestions or recommendations for
placement of virtual host source files...
Since there are many places to put virtual host source files, I had
intentionally avoided the discussion due to the complexities and to keep the
document restricted to a single topic. I had planned to create a separate
document devoted to the discussion. Specifically, there

Simple... but...
Hi R,
If
x=c(1,3,5)
y=c(2,4,6)
I need a vector which is c(1,2,3,4,5,6) from x and y.
How do I do it? I mean the best way....
Thanks, Shubha
