RedCloth versus BlueCloth efficiency
Has anyone profiled the performance of RedCloth versus BlueCloth?
I''m starting to realise that RedCloth is a more mature ruby project,
although Markdown the syntax maybe more widespread than Textilize.
Apart from the syntax, does anyone feel they have a preference, in terms
of performance or number of outstanding bugs?
Many thanks in advance.

Increasing the speed of speex playback
...ing Speex to see if it can generate higher quality
voice at high speed.
Do you think this will this be a difficult or easy project? Do you
think speex can be modified to generate very high quality voice at
high speed? By high speed, I mean voice starting at about 2.5X speed
up, all the way up to aroun 8X speed up. I haven't looked at any of
the code, yet, so any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I will use the term "problematic lines" to refer to the repeated occurrences of the two non-data lines
read.table is not successful in reading the table because of these problematic lines (I get around the first "TABLE NO." line using the skip option)
My word-around has been to:
1. read the table with readLines
2. remove the problematic lines
3. write the file to disk
4. read the file with read.table.
However, this process is slow.
I though about using "comment.char&quo...

Large Enterprises using asterisk
HI
I want to know
Why large enterprises (F500) are not shifting to
asterisk as it is going to save them a lot of
investment.
Are there some problems with asterisk ???
