Continuous Release (CR) Repository has been released for CentOS Linux 7.6.1810 for X86_64, i386, armhfp, aarch64, power9, ppc64le
We have pushed the CR repository for CentOS Linux 7.6.1810 for following architectures: x86_64 i386 armhfp aarch64 power9 ppc64le We are currently still working on the ppc64 / ppc architecture as we are having issues with some of the 32bit ppc mulitlib builds. Back to Xfce
Now that the basic server is up and running.? With Gnome via VNC (yuck), it is time to go back and figure out howto install Xfce without an Xfce group script.? So I am asking those with X64 Centos for some pointers.? Like where are the group scripts so maybe I can modify them for armhfp. I was reading: https://www.rootusers.com/how-to-install-xfce-gui-in-centos-7-linux/ Where the author talks about doing a minimal install then running: yum groupinstall "Server with GUI" But notes that this installs Gnome (which I don't want) and that instead to yum groupinstall...

Release for CentOS Linux 7 (2003) on armhfp aarch64 i386 ppc64 ppc64le and power9
...releases during the 7.7 cycle, and our decision to keep building them with the others (using the kernel from RHEL8), we decided to keep down this road. As 7.x and 8.x releases are not in sync, released kernel is 4.18.0-147.8.1, but expect to be updated to the one from 8.2 once it is released. Armhfp kernel was rebased (again) to 5.4.x, allowing us to support many more boards. Last release, we did a last minute addition of armhfp images for RaspberryPi4, using kernel from the raspberrypi foundation, this time we didn't want to do any less, so se added aarch64 images too. ---------- Dow...

Release for CentOS Linux 7 (1810) on armhfp aarch64 i386 ppc64 ppc64le and power9
...Hat's decision to deprecate power9 and aarch64 releases, we had to decide on how to continue, and the consensus was to keep building those arches along with the others, while updating kernel to the one used in RHEL8. Tests have been great and we're expecting to continue with this path. Armhfp kernel was rebased to 4.19.x, allowing us to support many more boards, this was done in conjunction with the uboot rebase to 2019.07 A last minute addition in the armhfp arch was the inclusion of the tech-preview images for RaspberryPi4, using kernel 4.19.x from the raspberrypi foundation. ---...

CentOs 7 i386 & PAE Kernel
Hi Gurus, I've been playing with CentOS 7's AltArch i386 builds with some good results on one machine, but can't get it to boot properly on another with a newer Bay Trail CPU. Previously CentOS 6 i386 worked on both, and that set a legacy I'd like to recreate... I *think* the problem is that the 7 kernel is non-PAE, and that has some peculiar knock on effect that prevents some
