NUT release plans (post-2.4.1): ChangeLog format
What follows is a sample of the output of svn2cl for the trunk. I
added the username-to-email mapping file, enabled revision numbers,
and told it to group commits on a single day by the same author:
$ svn2cl --group-by-day --include-rev --authors=../../svn2cl.authors
Arjen: I used your main email address that you typically list in the
ChangeLog entries.
Arnaud: I wasn't sure which address you wanted to list, the free.fr or
the gmail address.
I also need to search back and see when we actually stopped adding
ChangeLog entries, and merge as appropriate.
The svn2...

HP-UX compilation warnings
Chetan,
Could you check the contents of the include/nut-stdint.h file, to see
why there are compilation warnings on the HP-UX buildbot?
Best regards, Arjen

see which.
Is it possible to make the config.log from the compile phase available

Re: [nut-commits] svn commit r714 - in trunk: . server
OK, I have removed the autoconf test for s6_addr32 (which is no longer
used), and wrote a new test for IN6_IS_ADDR_V4MAPPED. The latter is
probably portable, but since we're already in the business of testing,
it does not hurt to do so.
Arjen, I wonder about server/access.c, line 60-61:
return (IN6_IS_ADDR_V4MAPPED(ip6) &&
((((const u_int32_t *)ip6)[3] & (u_int32_t)prefix) == net->s_addr));
Comparing this with line 38:
return((((struct sockaddr_in*)ip_addr)->sin_addr.s_addr & htonl(prefix)...

writing variables
Can anyone give me insight into upsrw?
I have a cyberpower PR2200 UPS (running an experimental version of the
powerpanel driver hot off the presses by Arjen (thanks Arjen!!)).
When I try to run "upsrw -s xyz=abc" to set any available variable, I
get "Set variable failed: Access denied".
What user name and password is it looking for here? My upsd.users file
has 2 users configured, one for local master use, and one for remote

...ers/megatec_usb.c: added credits to the banner message.
Is this really needed/desirable? I think this kind of information needs
to be put in the AUTHORS document. There are many more people on this
list that put a lot of effort in NUT, without claiming credit so openly.
Just my 2c.

Tripp Lite SmartOnline 3U
I have the following UPS that I'm trying to get to work with NUT:
SU3000RTXL3U
I have it connected via USB. My ups.conf looks like:
[test]
driver = usbhid-ups
vendorid = 09ae
port = auto
When I run upsdrvctl -DD start, I get:
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.4.1
Starting UPS: test
exec: /lib/nut/usbhid-ups -a test
Network UPS Tools - Generic HID driver 0.34 (2.4.1)

Default NUT PORT
...meric value of the #define'd PORT into a character string. Using
snprintf() and a temporary buffer just seems wrong, since this should be
handled by the preprocessor, rather than at runtime.
The following files are affected:
- server/conf.c (line 205)
- server/upsd.c (line 1024)
Best regards, Arjen
PS I don't want to use a numeric value, since the ports can also be set
through their service name (if we use getaddrinfo(), which is neat).

connection lost
Hi,
I've been trying to get my new Tripplite OmniVS100 UPS (USB Connection) to work on my system. What I have is:
Ubuntu 10.04 Server
Nut 2.4.3
/etc/nut/ups.conf
[omni]
Driver = usbhid-ups
Port = auto
Desc = "My Server"
/etc/nut/nut.conf
MODE=standalone
I followed the instructions at this link:

<path>/clients/upsclient.c:917: undefined reference to `upslogx'
Apparently, the library ../common/libcommon.a is not linked in. Why not?
Can this be fixed somehow? And where?
Best regards, Arjen
