CentOS4 + Subversion?
Hey all - does RHES4/CentOS4 beta contain a recent integration of
Subversion? I've been holding off trying to retro-fit CentOS 3.x on our
CVS server, hoping that the official channels aready had it in store for
the future. Not that you *can't* retrofit, I was just uncomfortable
upgrading so many stock packages.
Anyone have it installed, can take a look for me?
thx,

Anyone know where the bugs are being listed?
I am working through a few issues:

the screen reading 'updating initial configuration'. I know it is 180

Newbie questions from South Africa: Initial setup
...MSN numbers on my ISDN
2a line.
I think its possible to set this up with an internal ISDN card and soft
phones but I am unsure if this is possible (and if so I definitely don't
know where to start). Better would be being able to set this up with an
external 3COM ISDN "modem" since I aready have one but I suspect this is
not possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I have all the info
scattered through my brain and research docs, but distilling it into a
plan of action to get a working system is proving very difficult.
Thank in advance all.

Hi,
It's nice to be able to define S4 classes with slots that correspond
to standard attributes:
setClass("A1", slots=c(names="character"))
setClass("A2", slots=c(dim="integer"))
setClass("A3", slots=c(dimnames="list"))
By doing this, one gets a few methods for free:
a1 <- new("A1", names=letters[1:3])

When I try do run "dd if=/dev/zero of=io.test bs=32768k count=40" I get

I'm trying to get something more out of the virtualization layer, I hope
that there's room for improvement.
I'm using virtio, I aready set cache='none' and io='native' in the domain

uses an ext4 filesystem, while the image is saved on an ext3 disk. I
mounted the host and guest filesystems specifying nodiratime and noatime

Thanks for the report. The issue is that one cannot set special attributes

and will have a fix soon.

Scatter plot in R
Hi,
I have 334 records, with two columns:
Column (1): Resolution Column (2): Number of images with a specific
resolution
How can I make a scatter plot in R with this data? Is there a way to *import
* the records, since it will be time consuming to enter 334 records?
Thanks.

Overriding ActionView::Helpers::InstanceTag::DEFAULT_TEXT_AREA_OPTIONS
What is the best way to override some of the FormHelper default
options? Right now I''m adding this to the beginning of my
environment.rb:
ActionView::Helpers::InstanceTag::DEFAULT_TEXT_AREA_OPTIONS = { "cols"
=> 80, "rows" => 5 }
Is that the way it''s supposed to be done?

installing an add-on package
Dear all,
my apologies if I am posting a silly question - but I couldn't find any
helpful information on this elswhere.
In the R FAQ, version 1.8-1, there is a section "5.2 How can add-on
packages be installed?", but it only gives information for Unix users.
How can I install an add-on package under Windows? (Specifically, I have
downloaded the "rmeta" package from CRAN.)

Cascading?
During the interesting interview that binaryfreedom has made with Monty
and Jack, Monty mentions cascading, a feature that will be added, quote:
"Cascading is the ability to make multiple passes through the frequency
spectrum, iteratively filling in more detail, like a progressive jpeg".
What are the advantages of something like this - does this generally
improves quality or is it used
