Issue installing on RHEL 6 (2.6.32-358.2.1.el6.x86_64)
...redoing the upgrade with --exclude libselinux.otherarch ... this should give you an error message showing the root cause of the problem. 2. You have multiple architectures of libselinux installed, but yum can only see an upgrade for one of those arcitectures. If you don''t want/need both architectures anymore then you can remove the one with the missing update and everything will work. 3. You have duplicate versions of libselinux installed already. You can use "yum check&quo...

SECURITY: RHSA-1999:032 Buffer overflows in amd
...: Red Hat Linux 4.2 shipped originally with a version of amd that is no longer being maintained. Since Red Hat Linux 5.0 we have switched to am-utils. This release of am-utils has been backported to 4.2 and it will obsolete the original 4.2 amd package. The following is valid for all releases and arcitectures: the default configuration file format for amd that Red Hat used to ship has been changed. Initially the /etc/amd.conf file used to be the default map file that would allow access to the /net hierarchy. Now /etc/amd.conf is the amd configuration file and the default map is installed as /etc/amd.ne...

What happenes with R-gnome? Suggestions
...hout the GUI. Back to the orginal point of the original post: integrating scigraphica might be possible, maybe. They seem to have made provisions for embedding python, But I think that python was intended from the start for embedding, wasn't it? They plan to eventually use a standard object arcitecture (bonobo) to ease integration, and this might be a good way for R to move too, though I don't know if bonobo is the right version. If you were to work corba or bonobo into R, then it could be a backend for Koffice, or Gnumeric, or all of them. Perhaps moving to the object model might be the mo...
