SIL3114 and sparc solaris 10
Perhaps a bit off-topic (I asked on the rescue list -- http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/OaDWVGdLhxWVWIEabz4F -- and was told to try here), but I am kinda shooting in the dark: I have been finding online scattered and vague info stating that this card can be made to work with a sparc solaris 10 box (http://old.nabble.com/eSATA-or-firewire-in-Solaris-Sparc-system-td27...

isohybrid has 2 variants
...<options> CD_root". Would the options be identical if instead of genisoimage we use xorriso? I ask as I'm not a Fedora user, thus don't have their variant of genisoimage. _At the end of the page you give an example where the GPT equipment is added. But in this thread: http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/mwjwmhaWun4iHTR2s5Kg you propose a command that would allow to boot on a Mac. Could you provide such an example in the description of isohybrid? Of course I'm a bit opportunist here as I'd like that our installers can boot on a Mac without using rEFInd (I assume that I can...

Image as a frame background
I have created a frame, and would like to set an image as it''s background. I am using DialogBlocks, and there is some sort of texture property where it appears like you can set an image as a packground. However, while it looks fine in the preview, when I compile everything, the image is not there? Is there any way to get this to work, or a way to put buttons and text over images? I am

yum/RPM behaviour: does yum/RPM overwrite a file modified by a user during an update ?
Hi, On our cluster with CentOS 5.5, I have a little problem with a script for infiniband (this problem: http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/NUQmuN84gd3D31Fdl8PU). So the fix a very easy. But what will yum/RPM do during the next update ? Will it overwrite the file ? Will it write on display that the file was modified by an user (as under debian) ? Thx a lot, Best regards, Guillaume

sanlockd, virtlock and GFS2
...e (doing everything yourself) and don't recommend the locking dir to be on GFS2, but libvirt config suggest using a shared dir. Redhat even suggests that GFS2 is a good solution there, So: is there a hint on how to format/mount the GFS2 partition for sanlock usage? This thread (http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/fZfKniEdO4ZFyIhhNbzU ) recommends against GFS2+sanlock, but maybe using the "no_lock" gfs2 option might help? Any kind of advice? Virtlockd ========= Since sanlock was not working as expected, I tried virtlockd. This seems to be working well, but: live migration fails b...

Cosinor Analysis

[PATCH 0/3] kinit: Allow mount options
This patch series allows user-specified mount commands to be sent in via kernel command line ("kinit_mount=...") or via an embedded /etc/fstab file. The first patch is a cleanup of a patch sent last November by San Mehat (http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/EazJNBMORV2U7E0coh5h); the next two are small improvements or bug fixes.
