Searchable archieves??
Hello all
Being new on this list I would like to search the archieves before posting,
but unfortunately I cannot find out how to perform such a search. So it looks
as if I'll have to ask for help before searching the archieves anyway.
How does one search for keywords in the archieve?
Best regards,
Morten

Archieve of mails from R forum
Dear R helpers,
Everyday I do receive many many mails from R forum and after some period of times, INBOX is filled with numerous mails. At times if for some period of time, I haven't accessed mails, it becomes difficult to keep track of mails and many times simply due to the volume (and owing to the lack of time due to office constraints), I have to simply delete the mails without opening

A Question on lowess() function
Hi, all,
I want to use lowess(x, y) where x and y are vectors of length of 4000+. In
fact, x and y are log of some vectors. So, some of the elements are NaN.
lowess() can not take away those elements then do the fitting. It will give
the error message and do nothing.
1. Can anybody tell me how to get rid of those NaN's and use lowess()?
2. How to get the LOWESS fitting values for any

already gone.
Is there a solution to archieve this ?

changing plot font for Times new roman
...issue, but I would like to change
the type of font on my plot, and I am not sure the
rigth way. I would like to use Times New Roman font,
but according to the "par()" help, some device allow

without success.
Surfing on R archieve I got an suggestion of
use par(font.lab=6), but when I go to the
par(font.lab) help the highest value there is 5.
How can I have sure that font.lab=6 is the Times
New Roman?
Thanks in advance,

[LLVMdev] strace for whole-program bitcodes
...because of that ld can not recognize an object file
which contains LLVM's IL.
I understand the failture as this: libLLVMgold.so is just a plugin for
ld but not llvm-ld,when I want to build a whole-program bitcodes,llvm-ld
is the only available tool,so I think gold-plugin is not very useful to
archieve the goal,I'm considering to modify the codes of llvm-gcc's
collect2 to make it call llvm-ld automatically when receive certain
options.
Thanks

R and 2 processors
As far as I can see by searching the archieves, R could not
take advantage of two processors in the same machine but there
were plans for implementing multithreading
in R. Is this work going on?
On the other hand, if two processors are
present in the same linux machine is it possible to focus one
processor on tasks of the operative system an...

Perhaps Duncan will give you a proper keyword to search in GCC/LLVM
ML archieve. I found a page [1], and iiuc, the C standard allow the
implementation (i.e., the compiler) to remove such empty infinite loop.

memisc-Tables with robost standard errors
...ed to manipulate the lm-object by appending the "new" covariance
matrix but mtable seems to generate the summary itself since it is not
possible to call mtable(summary(lm1)).
I'd like to obtain a table with the following structure (using standard
errors I already worked out how to archieve it):
Variable & Coeff. & robust S.E. & lower 95% KI & upper 95% KI \\
Var1 & x.22^(*) & (xxxxx) & [xxxxx & xxxxx] \\
.
.
.
Maybe someone has any suggestions how to implement this kind of table?

Hi,
do you know about LoadLibrary and GetProcAddress?
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms682599%28VS.85%29.aspx
This might be what you need for loadable modules in generic, but I don't
know the actual use case, so i'm not 100% sure if you are able to
archieve your goal with the above.

updated to the correct value every time I start drb. I''m working on an

How to plot with txt or symbol instead of number as x-axis scale ?
Dear R-list
My question is exactly as the subject, I did search the archieve but
failed to find relevant message, in more details:
The simplest example, 4 factors and 4 value like below:

A B C D
if I plot the value, the x-axis will be scaled as 1,2,3,4 with each
represent a level. How can I change the x-axis scale to A,B,C,D ?
