Putty X11 problem
I use WinSCP to connect to remote server with wine. I use Putty as a terminal, but it seems, I cannot use X11 tunneling to run graphical applicatoins from this remote server, although X11 is enabled in Putty. Is there a solution for that?

Can't create folders in .wine/drive_c/users/public/App Data/...
OK, so I don't know what's going on. (even with tinyproxy/firehol off the
following occurs).
Unless wine is run by root, when WoW is first loaded and trying to login,
WoW creates a Cache folder and a bunch of folders under cache for login
purposes. The Cache folder exists in: <wine profile

Darwine question
...e question. If not please feel free to point me to a more appropriate stie.
I?ve got Darwine 1.0-rc4 loaded on my MacBook Pro, which is running Leopard 10.5.3.
when I run the Darwine app it brings up a Darwine window in Finder, with four items. And if i select winecfg.exe from the Sample Winelib Applicatoins, X pops up and then so does the winecfg tabbed menu.

Re: Best way to set up application settings?
http://wiki.rubyonrails.org/rails/pages/SettingsPlugin
Very easy to use. Can be used to setup user specific settings, as
well as applicatoin-wide settings. Since the settings are in the db
you can change setting without restarting the app, as you would have
to if they were in environment.rb.

My setup is a Dell 2950 without a raid controller, just a SAS6 card. The setup is as such

mirror rpool (boot) SAS 10K
raidz SSD 467 GB on 3 Samsung 256 MLC SSD (220MB/s each)
to create the raidz I did a simple zpool create raidz SSD c1xxxxx c1xxxxxx c1xxxxx. I have

MIT vs GPL vs LGPL for open source project
I intend to release a project I wrote with Rails.
What is the right licensing scheme for a web application (content
managing system) which could grow with plugins and add-ons ?
Personally, I would prefer the GPL but does that mean any add-on to the
CMS (like task management) will have to be GPL ?
If some people contribute to the code could it still be double-licenced
so that the people who
