If I'm not wrong I will be charged by both providers because both connection is active during conversation. So my question is can I set the things so that I pay only to VoIPJet? Hi there, finally all seems to be working. Samba 3 as PDC with LDAP Backend. Even ACLs are possible with the command line tool setfacl. These ACLs work fine in Samba and are displayed correctly in the Windows filemanager in the security-tab. But one thing remains unsolved: why can't I set those ACLs directly from my Windows client machine? If I try to modify the ACL I always get a message

Hi, This question is probably not specific to SSH but SSH uses this approach so I'm posting here. When SSHD receives a request to run a subsystem (say sftp), why does it FORK and EXEC a Shell with "-c /usr/sbin/sftp-server" instead of FORKing and EXECing "/usr/sbin/sftp-sever" directly? What value does execing the shell add? Appeciate any info or pointers. TIA

Has anybody migrated samba from one machine to the other? I have tried migrating from a PC running Linux to a PC running Solaris, and all worked fine at first, then when I turned off the original machine, the NT ACLs stopped showing up (the Solaris box happily reported the ACLs at the unix level) I tried turning the original machine back on and, to my surprise, the domain attached to the ACLs

I recently replaced my NT PDC with a Samba PDC with an LDAP backend. Most clients have 2000 and XP machines but a few clients who have 98 machines are not able to access any servers on the network when they dial in to our NT 4.0 RAS server in spite of the fact that they receive all of the proper network settings from the DHCP server and they are successfully authenticated by the Samba/LDAP PDC.
