Teliax to VoIPJet
I'm trying to setup asterisk to accept call from Teliax, request the 10 digit number from user, then dial it thru the VoIPJet. If I'm not wrong I will be charged by both providers because both connection is active during conversation. So my question is can I set the things so that I pay only to VoIPJet? Specific configuration snippets will be greatly appeciated. Thank you.

Hi, I have tried to enable IPSec support for my FreeBSD( 4.11-RELEASE) system. memory problem
Hi, I am trying to run a very computationally expensive procedure in R-2.0.0. and the process always gets killed after approx 8 minutes. This procedure calls some of my own C++ code - in case it was this code causing a memory leak I unload and then reload the .so file every time, however I still get the same problem. The procedure is run 16000 times and always calls the lm() function. My

Can't set ACL with Windows XP - why?
Hi there, finally all seems to be working. Samba 3 as PDC with LDAP Backend. Even ACLs are possible with the command line tool setfacl. These ACLs work fine in Samba and are displayed correctly in the Windows filemanager in the security-tab. But one thing remains unsolved: why can't I set those ACLs directly from my Windows client machine? If I try to modify the ACL I always get a message

Quantile scores as dependent variables.. an R and general method question
I have a dataset that does not include native scores, but only serial quantile rankings for a set of units. Clearly these observations are dependent (in that you can't alter one observation without also altering others). Are there methods for dealing with quantile dependent variables. My atempt to find such methods has not bee successful. Any leads to theory, texts or R code would be most

Logon Hours with Samba PDC
I have been searching for information about implementing Logon Hours with a Samba 2.2.5 PDC (or for that matter any version of SAMBA) but haven't yet noticed any postings or correspondence. I have set up a a Samba PDC and have mapped shares, authenticated users, blah blah blah, .... everything seems to work fine. I checked with 'rpcclient' to see what sort of information is

writing a package for generalized linear mixed modesl
Happy new month, everyone! I am planning to write a NIH grant proposal to study ways to speed Monte Carlo based maximum likelihood algorithm for hierarchical models with a focus on generalized linear mixed models (GLM with random effects). I thought it would be nice and also increase the chance of funding if I could produce an R package in the process. I understand that Prof. Pinheiro ang Bates

Xen boots to blank screen
It seems like there are several messages in the archive and in various forums about this problem, but I do not see a clear course of action for how to solve it. I am relatively new to Linux, compounding my problem. I just built a new machine for the express purpose of running Xen so my girlfriend and I could experiment and learn about different Linux distros. I am running on an Intel DG35EC

Problems with Windows 2003 connecting a Samba server
Hi list, I am encountering a problem in connecting a Windows 2003 to a Samba 3.0.21b server. The Samba server is configured to have a security = share option, so that no password is needed. I can connect to the server by typing "net use z: \\192.168.51.1\data", and it is successful. However, if I try to do "dir z:", no file found! Same behaviour are found in Windows

Cisco Call Manager & Asterisk for Voicemail
Has anybody successfully (or I guess unsuccessfully for that matter) implemented Cisco Call Manager and used an * box for voicemail? I checked the wiki and google and I see some references to Call Manager Express and *, but CME is completely different than CM. If anybody has done this or has any insight, it would be appeciated. We are trying to migrate ~ 300 users off of Cisco Unity and

Re: NUT with bcmxcp_usb driver
Hi Andrew, thanks to subscribe to nut-upsuser and continue on this one: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/nut-upsuser The solution to your problem depends on the way you installed NUT. It's possibly one of these: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/nut/+bug/6679 https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/nut/+bug/6585 Andrew Wallace wrote: > Hi > > I've

Why exec subsystem from shell and not directly?
Hi, This question is probably not specific to SSH but SSH uses this approach so I'm posting here. When SSHD receives a request to run a subsystem (say sftp), why does it FORK and EXEC a Shell with "-c /usr/sbin/sftp-server" instead of FORKing and EXECing "/usr/sbin/sftp-sever" directly? What value does execing the shell add? Appeciate any info or pointers. TIA

ACLs on Solaris, plus migration
Has anybody migrated samba from one machine to the other? I have tried migrating from a PC running Linux to a PC running Solaris, and all worked fine at first, then when I turned off the original machine, the NT ACLs stopped showing up (the Solaris box happily reported the ACLs at the unix level) I tried turning the original machine back on and, to my surprise, the domain attached to the ACLs

Dial-Up Users Not Able to Access Network with Samba PDC
I recently replaced my NT PDC with a Samba PDC with an LDAP backend. Most clients have 2000 and XP machines but a few clients who have 98 machines are not able to access any servers on the network when they dial in to our NT 4.0 RAS server in spite of the fact that they receive all of the proper network settings from the DHCP server and they are successfully authenticated by the Samba/LDAP PDC.
