IAX FXS.. Any experience with...
http://www.x100p.com/products_2.htm
Anyone ever use this box? How's it compare with the Iaxy? I'd like to
buy one or the other.. The Iaxy is appealing because to me, it seems
less "no name", but this one says that it supports using hostnames,
whereas apparently the iaxy only supports IP addresses?? That's
appealing to the dynamic DNS guy in me! :-)
Any experience?

appeal --- add sd to summary for univariates
just a short beg for the next R 2.3 version:
I know it is easy to add the sd into summary() in the source bowels of
R---but everytime R is updated, my change disappears. :-(. I do not
believe that R has an easy extension mechanism for univariate
summaries, short of a function rewrite here. Could this please be
added into R 2.3?
Aside, a logical ordering might also be:

iscsi target for C5.x
Does anyone have any recommendations for the best way to bring up a
iSCSI Target on a C5.3+ server ? Various blogs suggest compiling IET
from source, but thats not real appealing to me (not that I can't do it,
I just don't want to have to support it long term). I looked in
rpmforge but didn't see anything.

Documentation SIG: Participation wanted
Hi, folks,
I've been working through the CentOS wiki for more than a year now,
trying to identify and fix outdated/wrong/obsolete content. It's a
daunting task, and I'm losing.
I would very much like to gather a group of people who are:
* Knowledgeable about CentOS
* Good with words
* Have a little time
who would be willing and able to review the content of the wiki, and fix

Dashes are also used by Setext headers.
Though not visually appealing, are there any (technical) thoughts on
backticks (which are currently used for <code>)?

Plot problems: xlim
...>abline(v=0.2454959)
Without any options, plot.density spreads out nicely, however, naturally, the line I want to add is not plotted since it
is well outside the range automatically determined by plot.density hence the need to add xlim however this produces
something I dont find aesthetically appealing. The plot is squeezed out into a very lean "bell" shape.
So (finally) my question, how can i widen the spread of my plot and yet also be able to add my xline.
Many thanks

Hiding version information
...nfiguration options that accomplish this task and a bit more. I had
posted this to the general users list, but after thinking about it, I
thought that it might be good to post it here as well.
* Does a feature like this have any impact on the functionality of OpenSSH?
* Would a feature like this appealing at all to the OpenSSH community?
The options are HideVersionInformation and VersionString, and they operate
like this:
Setting HideVersionInformation to yes causes sshd to either use a default
version string of "OpenSSH" or a user defined string specified with the
option VersionString....

graphical representation of a correlation between 3 variables (~30 datapoints)
Dear Ms and Mr R,
I am seeking a visually appealing presentation of 3 variables (~30
datapoints) that are correlated and that should to into the same direction.
The objective is to show that they do go in the same direction and what
differences there might be while also giving an idea of the values of the
variables. I had done this with simple barg...

[PATCH] Fix on Cyrus SASL support for Rel 0.99.11
Code which supports cyrus SASL library (src/auth/mech-cyrus-sasl2.c)
is broken. Following is the workaround patch for Dovecot Rel 0.99.11,
and it worked fine on FreeBSD 4.10 BOX.
It will not work with current development version.
Application for that version might not be so difficult.
Recently I found the CVS log which appeals that cyrus SASL support is
discontinued. It's very sad.

Desktop Choice Centos 4/Centos 5 or Fedora 9
I have a choice of CentOS 4/5 and Fedora 9 on a laptop.
I have not use CentOS 5 on a desktop but have used
CentOS 4 and Fedora 9. I found the Fedora Gnome not
as appealing as the CentOS 4 clearlooks. Any opinions
from someone who has used CentOS 4/5 and Fedora?
I'm not a KDE fan so KDE users need not reply.

Support .cda as input files
Hi again list,
I have given the matter of supporting .cda as input format some more
thought. What I wanted was an easier way to do drag 'n' drop music files
from CDs onto the local system and then have those files encoded with FLAC.
As of now most operating systems displays files on CDs as .cda. (Which has
later been clarified not to even be a format.)
I think that what I actually

If not I have two other solutions in mind:
- add a custom stemmer to Xapian
- write custom index & search methods in python using add_posting & hacks
to modify the query tree respectively
Both solutions are not too appealing.
What would be the easiest way to do it?
Thanks,

Centos-specific Denyhosts Howto Anyone?
Hi, after reading the docs (no man page) and seeing a few example
howtos, I see none for Centos specifically.
I hereby offer to write this and even host it, and any other wiki-able
howto you want, if you can school me on the first few steps relevant to
how to link up the current rpmforge rpm for RHEL4-64. See, right now,
the one for centos loads into the /usr/share/doc, which is an odd place
