64-bit Java?
Hi folks,
Stupid question time, possibly only tangentially related to CentOS,
and I apoligise in advance.
I have a bunch of CentOS 64-bit boxes, and I have developers who want
to run eclipse on these boxes. So I have downloaded the 64-bit
bundle of eclipse, installed the java from java.sun.com, and the
result is that Eclipse won't run. It chugges away and then reports:

real Newbie query sorry!
Hi as I'm a real newbie to rsync I'd better apoligise if this is 'old hat'.
I'm trying to get to grips with rsync and I've set up rysnc as a server on a redhat 8 linux pc using a simple rsyncd.conf
I then tried to list some files placed in the rsync server by using a commandline shell to this server. I've called the server 'server'.

lwn reports the Samba team could use coders and documenters
I read in todays (July 9, 1998) edition of the Linux Weekly News
that
"the Samba team could use coders, documenters and
packagers as a result of a temporary dip in the
volunteer resources available to them
(caused by an unfortunate set of co-incidences,
though we haven't heard the details yet)."
and "This has slowed the Samba effort a bit."
