Authentication with trusted credentials
Some more details. Below is what I have during joining Linux (Ubuntu 20.04)
to the SVITLA3 domain. SVITLA3 (Samba) is trusting, APEX (AD) is trusted.
SVITLA3 has *administrator *and *test01 *users, APEX has *administrator *and
*jake *users.
test01 - 20000:20000 (uidNumber:gidNumber)
jake - 10000:10000
You can see some delay in some places - I marked them bold. It looks like
DNS timeouts.
The svitla3.room smb config includes DNS...

Authentication with trusted credentials
Point #1: is not correct.
Why is Jake getting an ID from * Range and not APEX range. ?
That need to be found first
Run: net cache flush
Restart samba. : systemctl restart smbd winbind nmbd (and/or sssd is you use that)
wbinfo --all-domains -ug
id jake
getent passwd jake
Any improvement?

Now your lines :
Works Yes: Jul 16 11:23:48 uc-sssdlbox20 sshd[2048]: pam_sss(sshd:auth): authentication success; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=ssh ruser= rhost=10.0.0.1 user=SVITLA5.ROOM\test01
Works Not: Jul 16 11:24:01 uc-sssdlbox20 sshd[2157]: Invalid user APEX.CORP\\jake from 10.0.0.1 port 62970
And i noticed this :
OK: sshd[2048]: pam_sss(sshd:auth)
Wrong: sshd[2157]: pam_unix(sshd:auth)
I would gamble on these..
/etc sssd ? Somewhere, i really dont know, never used it.

OrgMassSpecR peak area issue
...!
I am having an issue with the OrgMassSpecR package. I run my HPLC using a
DAD detector. My raw data is exported form chemstation as a csv file. I
then upload the csv into Rstudio no problem. Using the DrawChromatogram
function, I get a nice chromatogram, and my retention time, peak area, and
apex intensity values are given as well.
The problem comes with the peak area value given. The peak area is much
smaller than a value that would make sense. My peak area value is actually
less than my apex intensity value. Is this because I am using a DAD
detector rather than an MS? If so, is there a...

samba-3.0.0 & FreeBSD 5.1 not cooperating
...mbfs rw,noauto 0 0
Finally, I took smbfs.sh.sample and copied it to
/usr/local/etc/rc.d/smbfs.sh and rebooted. FreeBSD mounts the share in
the proper location automatically and I can read every file and
directory. But when I try to copy, move, or otherwise write a file to
the share I get:
[apex:~]$ cp .profile share/
cp: share/.profile: No such file or directory
And when I try to copy or otherwise write to a file that already exists
on the share, I get a different error:
[apex:~]$ cp share/code/tcl/dbtest.tcl temp/
[apex:~]$ cp temp/dbtest.tcl share/code/tcl/
