As far as I can tell "numericality" is not a word. Maybe this method
should be renamed.

The code is still available here https://github.com/hyc/OpenSSH-LINEMODE/
If there's sufficient interest this time, I can probably bring it all up to date with
a current OpenSSH version. I won't bother if it meets the same apathy as last time.

igraph: decompose.graph: Error: protect(): protection stack overflow
I just got this error:

what can I do?
the digraph is, indeed, large (300,000 vertexes), but there are very
many very small components (which I would rather not discard).
PS. the doc for decompose.graph does not say which mode is the default.

Great job to all who work on FreeBSD!
[ sorry for the cross-post, but both "camps" deserve this message ]
A hearty "thank you" to all FreeBSD developers and a job well done! I've been
"out of the loop" on FreeBSD due to utter busy-ness on the job and at home
(along with general apathy for being in front of a computer outside work) for
about 2.5 years now. I decided to finally upgrade one of my boxes from
5.1-CURRENT to 6.2-BETA2 over the weekend. Everything went flawlessly and a
few knobs set within rc.conf and make.conf and my box was totally functional,
and fast!
My hat's...

inside matroska
hi everyone !
since nobody answered the question in the extension-thread, i would
like to ask again in a new thread:
why does xiph and the theora-team not promote the matroska-format?
do you just prefer ogg because its "home-made" or are there technical
advantages over mkv?
thanks!

IP Masquerading trouble
Hi all,
I have a problem to get my Linux machine to masquerade for other computers
on the network. My main machine is connect to the ADSL modem on eth0. The
machine also has another network card, eth1 which connects directly to the
other computer. Both machines can ping each other fine, but I can''t access
the net from the other (Windows) system.

[Re: icecast2 ??]
...If there just
aren't volunteers to work on maintaining icecast1 (bugfixes, etc.)
then why don't we get a call for help asking for developers who
are willing to maintain it-- instead of silence and disdain? If it's
simply a lack of volunteers, that's understandable, but then why the
apathy toward all things icecast1, since presumably that's still what
the majority of icecast users are using. Or are you just saying
"fuck the users; if you can't code for us we don't need you; go read

Perhaps, if that is the only requirement to have a fully-functional
streamer. Unfortunately, I believe this is not sufficient for the
user base. So, if the

I wonder as well, I can only suspect ignorance, lazyness or apathy. A
3-4 second rebuffering every few hours probably didn't concern mr.
winamp when he invented shoutcast. Honestly I don't even know what
even reminded me that this kind of thing happens, I think most people
suspect its just a network issue.

[PATCH] Fits: tool to parse stream
Simple tool to parse a fits-stream from stdout.

The idea of the btrfs send stream format was to generate it in a way that
it is easy to receive on different platforms. Thus the proposed name FITS, for
Filesystem Incremental Backup Stream. We should also build the tools to
receive the stream on different platforms.

Synchronizing a streaming client to the server Was: Idea to possibly improve flac?
This thread has raised several good topics. It's surprising that the
FLAC-Dev list has been silent for years, and now suddenly there are
several good ideas to discuss.
