As far as I can tell "numericality" is not a word. Maybe this method
should be renamed.

[panic] ipw and kismet
Hello,
I almost always get a panic when running kismet on my ipw-Interface
under 6.1-PRERELEASE. This has been the case ever since ipw hit the
tree. Sometimes kismet works, sometimes it doesn't. A sure way to
trigger the panic is to switch between bss/ibss/monitor mode prior to
running kismet. Perhaps there is a bug in the re-initialization when
loading a different firmware?
Is this panic

"unsparse" a vector
Suppose I have a vector of strings:
c("A1B2","A3C4","B5","C6A7B8")
[1] "A1B2" "A3C4" "B5" "C6A7B8"
where each string is a sequence of <column><value> pairs
(fixed width, in this example both value and name are 1 character, in
reality the column name is 6 chars and value is 2 digits).

I just got this error:

what can I do?
the digraph is, indeed, large (300,000 vertexes), but there are very
many very small components (which I would rather not discard).
PS. the doc for decompose.graph does not say which mode is the default.

Great job to all who work on FreeBSD!
[ sorry for the cross-post, but both "camps" deserve this message ]
A hearty "thank you" to all FreeBSD developers and a job well done! I've been
"out of the loop" on FreeBSD due to utter busy-ness on the job and at home
(along with general apathy for being in front of a computer outside work) for
about 2.5 years now. I decided to finally upgrade one of my boxes

How to clear the list returned by ifconfig ipw0 list scan
Hello,
when going mobile and scanning lots of APs, the old and no longer
reachable APs don't get flushed from the list. That means, the list can
only grow.
Thus, I currently have a list of 17 APs, yet none of them is even
remotely reachable. I already tried up/down'ing the interface and
reloading the firmware, yet no change.
Wouldn't such a feature be useful?

inside matroska
hi everyone !
since nobody answered the question in the extension-thread, i would
like to ask again in a new thread:
why does xiph and the theora-team not promote the matroska-format?
do you just prefer ogg because its "home-made" or are there technical
advantages over mkv?
thanks!
greetings

IP Masquerading trouble
Hi all,
I have a problem to get my Linux machine to masquerade for other computers
on the network. My main machine is connect to the ADSL modem on eth0. The
machine also has another network card, eth1 which connects directly to the
other computer. Both machines can ping each other fine, but I can''t access
the net from the other (Windows) system.

Perhaps, if that is the only requirement to have a fully-functional
streamer. Unfortunately, I believe this is not sufficient for the
user base. So, if the

The idea of the btrfs send stream format was to generate it in a way that
it is easy to receive on different platforms. Thus the proposed name FITS, for
Filesystem Incremental Backup Stream. We should also build the tools to
receive the stream on different platforms.

This thread has raised several good topics. It's surprising that the
FLAC-Dev list has been silent for years, and now suddenly there are
several good ideas to discuss.
