llvm-dev Digest, Vol 136, Issue 22
...gnoring these, we can ensure the safety of pointer and dynamic memory usage in all the embedded benchmarks we tried without any run-time checks. The paper appeared at LCTES: http://llvm.org/pubs/2003-05-05-LCTES03-CodeSafety.html Like the later work, this did not eliminate use-after-free but used APA to ensure that any use-after-free errors are “harmless” in that they did not violate all the other type- and memory-safety guarantees. Let me know if you have any questions about this. --Vikram // Vikram S. Adve // Professor, Department of Computer Science // University of Illinois at Urbana-Ch...

Relaying with Icecast - stand-by or active all the time?
The relaying-configuration seems to be straight-forward, unfortunately it does not work. That's my configuration: <relays-on-demand>1</relays-on-demand> <relay> <server>http://mp3stream7.apasf.apa.at</server> <port>8000</port> <mount>/</mount> <local-mount>/oe3.mp3</local-mount> <on-demand>1</on-demand> <relay-shoutcast-metadata>0</relay-shoutcast-metadata> </relay> And that's what the error log says: [2013-...

[LLVMdev] Building APA
Hey, I think I might be having a build problem. I says here [https://agora.cs.illinois.edu/display/llvmgroup/Automatic+Pool+Allocation] to load LLVMDataStructure.so and poolalloc.so when using "opt" to perform pool allocation. However, I don't have poolalloc.so -- only poolalloc.o. Does anyone know why this might be? --Patrick

Pool allocator + safecode
Hi, I'm trying to get the pool allocator and safe code building against llvm trunk. I've run into a build error, and I see that in the past another user was told just not to build the pool allocator for use with safecode [1]. However, I really want the pool allocator transforms, so I just wanted to check why the suggestion was not to use it. Has it been superseded in some way by something

How to DRY with Fixtures (helper or extend Time class, how)?
I have a test/fixtures/users.yml like so: apa: id: 1 username: apa [...] created_at: <%=Time.now.strftime("%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S")%> updated_at: <%=Time.now.strftime("%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S")%> I don''t like how I''m repeating myself with the strftime bit. Is there some shorter Time method to...

Mediatrix APA III-4FXO (or 1204) help. Anyone with user manual?
Hi all, I just picked myself up a Mediatrix FXO SIP gateway to play around with and hook into Asterisk but have no documentation. Are there default passwords or IP's that I need to know if I do a factory reset? Or better still, would anyone have a User Manual they could send my way? Any help would be appreciated. TIA. Jamie

Use all.equal instead of identical if you want to gloss over integer/numeric class differences and minor floating point differences (and a host of others). Right now I am using getAnalysis to get the information from
