--fuzzy search over to-be-deleted files to catch moved files and directories
..." already saves me a lot of time by discovering most
renames that happen within a directory. Therfore I already use the
"--delete-after" option.
Now the question is, if fuzzy search could be extended to search for
moved files across directory borders. If for example I move pictures
aound to reorganize them in a different directory hierarchy, or if I
move whole directories around as I reorganize part of my music files.
I know there is --compare-dest but that requires knowledge of the old
location.
As i understand it, the"--delete-after" option already implies that the

Problems building zaptel 1.4.4

I've noticed that the installs come with a menuselect feature now. I
had to run "make menuselect" twice, but it seemed to complete OK. I
fooled aound a little inside menuselect delescting everything but

FW: color palette
...Thanks for the suggestion. I still could not figure out how to use the
function to do my job. What's important in my job is that I have to map
white color to value 0, and then form a bue gradient for negative values,
and red gradient for positive values. The data matrix I have is not
symmetric aound 0, say 0 is at the 18 percentile, and values range from -10
to 30.
How exactly I could do my job? Bear with me, I am new to color, I don't
quite understand how the image function map the number is the data matrix to
the colors defined in the col argument.
Thanks

NT passowrd change problem
I've just started using 1.9.18p4 and have gotten the NT password changing
working great except for one problem. When I try to change a password on a PDC
that's on a different subnet (and hence a different domain), I get the following
error:
/var/local/etc/samba/etc/smbpasswd: machine pdom1 rejected the password change:
Error was : code 2245
I know what errors 2243 and 2246 mean but what

Is there a PAM setup for libsmbclient?
...B, has a share that is also available
to members of "accounting". SERVER_B has a smb.conf with read and write

great. Lisa can login to any Gutsy system on the network, her home directory
follows her aound and she can login to SERVER_B and access the share for
"accounting" members. Anyone not a member of "accounting" cannot access the
accounting share on SERVER_B. The "accounting" group is mapped using net
groupmap.
PAM is used on the Gutsy workstations to authenticate...

Having problems with files that have the ':' character
Some of the files on my linux box have the character ':' in their name. Viewing them over the network via smb, samba seems to replace the ':' with a '~'.
The real problem is that these files cannot be copied/moved at all (error messages appear).
Has anyone else encountered this issue? And is there a fix or workaround? (please don't tell me I need to rename all my

Program No Longer Can Save
Last week, Jammer Pro6 (a midi music program) could save its files just fine.
Today, I get that "program closing" wine errorbox and that's that.
What might be causing this? Running Debian Sid.

Indexing Ogg files for faster seeking
...in Ogg
files. It embeds the index in its own track, so that players that don't
understand or don't want to use the index can just ignore it.
Ogg needs this to make seeking over networks faster and more efficient.
Currently we must do a bisection search when seeking, which usually
takes aound 6 HTTP requests, give or take a few. If we are to compete
with existing internet video (AKA the "YouTube" case) we need to do that
faster and more efficiently - using fewer HTTP requests. We need an
index so that seeking only takes 1 HTTP request.
Using an index of keyframes also make...

...ictor variable (e.g. via car::Anova).) However, I also want to
test whether genotype affects the concentrations of metabolites, e.g.
glycerol, in the growth medium at a given population density. I envisage
testing this by one of 2 methods, neither of which I am confident is
correct, despite digging aound in various fora and statistics texts.
Method 1. Loess splines
I could fit a loess curve to glycerol~od, (the date effect disappears
when plotting against od rather than t).
m1<-loess(glycerol~od, data=df.yx.t[df.yx.t$g=="Ma",])
m2<-loess(glycerol~od, data=df.yx...

Computing horsepower needed
I have been reading asterisks and everything I can get my hands on for the

for a four port Asterisk installation?
Thanks
