GLXBadDrawable 158 playing AOE2 GOLD
Couldn't find anything like this...so I had to post. Sorry if the answers are out there.
Depending on how it's feeling (I guess), I can get it to run. But usually only after a fresh install of wine and of AOK. It will run once (just fine) then start to fail giving the following:

Age of Empires II Won't Run
I can't seem to get Age of Empires II to run after successful installation. I have created a new WINEPREFIX directory and installed it there and tried first without directx and with it. It is gold on the appdb so I'm a bit surprised. OS is Ubuntu 8.10 and I have tried with wine 1.1.15, 1.1.14 and 1.01. Each time it dumps the memory. Thanks for any help.

Age of Kings
Hi all,
can anyone explain how to get AoE2 running under wine? I read somewhere it
should work with version 20010326, but it does not on my machine (Suse 7.2,
kde 2.2beta1).

Age of Empires II (aoesetup.exe), won't work
The Permissions will not let me run the file as a program. Do I have to be Super User?
comes up with error:
The file '/media/AOE2/aoesetup.exe' is not marked as executable. If this was downloaded or copied from an untrusted source, it may be dangerous to run. For more details, read about the executable bit.
any help pls :?

Cannot install aok (Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings) on Wine
Hi there,
I'm running Wine 1.3.28 on Ubuntu Oneiric and I cannot manage to get aok installed. The installation routinely freezes immediately after the program starts to copy the first file, the message that pops up says there isn't enough space on disk (clearly a false statement) or that the folder is being used by some other program (which one?).
Thanks for your help.
