Fortunately I was starring at the screen during an upgrade and 'caught' the following set of messages. It is hard to remember what I installed fuse for, I think for webdav. My system has a ipw3945 pci card, wireless is working. Here are the messages: Uninstalling: fuse 2.7.4-1.nodist.rf (2.6.18-92.1.17.el5) (i686) -------- Uninstall Beginning -------- Module: fuse Version:

Oplock break failed on sysvol share
Hi team! Samba 4.1.11 on Debian Wheezy here, configured as a DC. I recently started noticing long startup times for the Windows clients, whenever multiple clients are started at the same time. For example, at 8:00 AM (when around 30 PCs get started simoultaneously, I get this in smbd.log: ### [2014/09/16 08:01:21.320944, 0] ../source3/smbd/oplock.c:335(oplock_timeout_handler) Oplock break

how to construct tree under R
Hello. I have a hudge problem, don't know how to deal with it... I'm supposed to implement a tree structure in R, without using rpart library... I don't have any clue about appropriate approach... Anyway, I can't use pointers under R...so how to to it? lists, vectors... Anyway, does anybody knows how the regression tree in rpart was implemented... Someone please help! Thanks, ana

DECT SIP phones
Hi folks: I know it's come up a few times before, but I need some more detail. I'm looking for a SIP DECT (cordless) phone for North American installations. I've heard only of the Siemens Gigaset S450/C450 phones. Apparently these aren't sold for use in NAm, even though they're supposed to be legal (in the United States, anyway). On top of that, I understand they have some

Anyway to monitor SIP debug from originator and terminator separate of each other on two screens?
Hi Everyone, In order to make life easier and to do debugging easier I want to observe "sip set debug originator" and "sip set debug terminator" on two different putty screens. Trick is that originator calls the terminator. I can of course put two separate calls and get sip debugs at different times but that's not what I want to do. I want both to spit out on my two

Maximum number of PRI calls on 1 asterisk box (no HW echo)
Hi, Does anyone have any good empirical data suggesting what the maximum number of PRI calls (incoming and outgoing) without hardware echo cancellation can be handled on a single box is? I have a TE410P T1 (1st gen) card and I'm seeing interesting errors of D-Channels going down and then coming back up (See below). I've looked at the number of simultaneous calls at each of these points,

Questions about exclude-file
Is there anyway to keep rsync from reporting an error when attempting to sync pagefile.sys (through a samba share)? It seems like any type of exclusion of the file gets ignored, why is that? Anyway around it? Also, of experimented with the exclude-from syntax quite a bit and haven't figure out how you could just backup all .doc files on a file system and exclude everything else. Thanks - Max

Whats all this Linux business anyway?
Alright lads, I'm Rick Masters and I know very little about networks, but for some mad reason I have been given the job of setting up a Linux File Server on an NT network. How the dickens does that work? Anyway I need as much help as you can be bothered to give me. And there is a free pizza in it for the guy who helps me get it working :-) You are all super and great fun (I'm sure).

virtio for 9.1-R
Hi guys, I can't see virtio in releng/9.1, is there any particular reason why it isn't going to be included given that it works reasonable well (and is optional anyway, so not likely to be detrimental)? Thanks, Joe

Any way to boot Windows NT (specifically Win2K) directly?
I decided to install Win2K on my "retrogaming/htpc" system to take advantage of the dual processors in the thing when I'm multitasking a lot, but, it's kind of annoying having to use first one bootloader to chainload my Windows 98 partition, then, via NTLDR, selection Windows 2000 to get to Win2k. I tried using the recovery console to try to force it to write a boot sector to

anyway to exclude logging for a given IP address?
Hi, im not sure if this is a mongrel or rails question, so im sorry if I got the wrong list. Is there anyway to turn off logging (in production.log) if a request comes from a given IP address. I use monit to watch everything, and I get tons of this in my log file: Processing AccountController#login (for 127.0.0.1 at 2007-07-31 14:06:28) [GET] Session ID: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Anyway to Force a start even if the .pid file exists?
I''m using monit to restart mongrel processes if they go away. With mongrel 0.3 I could issue a start command and the process would start up even if the .pid file existed (though a warning would appear). Now, with mongrel 1.0.1 the warning says I must clear the .pid file and the process is not started. Is there anyway to force it to start without having to clear the .pid? Regards
