Samba 4 AD Authentication Errors
...windows workstations and bind shares with net. Due to the fact that everything is going back to normal once i stop the samba service on the 2 samba 4 machines it looks like these machines do not answer authentication requests correctly. Do you have any pointer where i should look into? Try to find anythins in the logs but haven't found anything yet. Also google was not that helpful. The only thing i have till now is that the net command throws "system error 86" -> network password is wrong (translated from german, so the english error message might look slighly diffrent). Windows lo...

samba 4 ad member - idmap = ad for machine accounts
It's centos 7, no local users except root, all system users have UID <100, and system is used ONLY for samba, as file server for windows machines, and never will never be used for anythin else, that's why I said it works for me. I read wiki thoroughly, so I know about RID drawbacks, that's why I wanted to get idmap - AD to work not just for "users" (which works

R crashes on Repeated ODBC Queries
Hi, I've been up all night trying to get the following to work. First here is the setup. I have a P4 1G mem running WinXP SP2, R 2.0.1 patched 2005-01-15, MySQL 4.1.7 and MyODBC 3.51. I've been pulling data from MySQL using the code at the end of the post, where start.date and end.date are chron objects and auction.type is a string. I've been rushed so the code, especially the
