Hi everyone,
Is it possible not to notify error with puppet-lint when "trailing
whitespace" are found in a comment line?
Just asking.

I mean, it is *an *antidote to doc rot. And sure, one that is used
elsewhere. You could easily imagine one that didn't require it though.
Perhaps doc files associated...

Best practices in developing package: From a single file
Joris,
With the large caveat that I am not Duncan, and thus am not speaking for
him, I can see an argument for his claim that I think is, more or less,
true.
roxygen2 (as far as I know as someone who uses it at least some of the
time) maps to only a subset of Rd. It is the most commonly used subset, and
so you can do most common things with it, but I think a pretty good case
can be made for the

Jay, it helps us help you when you give more information.
I have CentOS 7 running happily on 4GB. My presumption - based on
experience, extrapolation, and google - is that it will also run with 64TB.
Anything between those numbers should be good.

...agree with your sentiment that roxygen encourages writing of
documentation for time-constrained users.
I'll add that the major problem of documentation is not fancy
formatting but the content getting out of sync with the codebase.
Having documentation sitting next to the code is the preferred
antidote to doc rot, e.g. docstrings in lisp languages, Julia and
Python, the Linux kernel-doc system, doxygen, javadoc, ...
It is true that R CMD check extensive checks help a lot as well in
this regard though only for things that can be checked automatically.

ssh host keys
I''m trying to get two hosts exchange their ssh host keys using
virtual exported resources. What happens is that one host gets both keys
installed without problems, while the other one fails with the following
error message:
err: Could not retrieve configuration: Exported resource Sshkey[front.irb.lo] cannot override local resource
I found some reference to this in ticket #731, but

Changing domains, both server- and client-side.
My company recently changed its name, and now I've been asked to change
our domain's name, too. Is there any way I can accomplish this without
having to have each PC join a new domain, with all the problems inherent
in something like that? Registry edits, etc., would be fine, but I
really dread having to mess with all the profiles that are going to get
messed up...
Thanks!

db:test:purge And osql: What Happened?

Obviously this never made its way into Rails. Why? What are people
doing for MS SQL testing on non Windows OS''? Everyone''s hacking their
own workaround? Seems as if there would be a universal antidote.

Preferred method for setting customer facts?
I''ve checked out the page on adding custom facts for Facter and I see
that there are a number of ways to do this. Is there a preferred method
of setting system-wide facts?
In this case, I''d like to set a "Location" fact which represents the
data centre a server is in.

James

Installing YUM with Puppet
Hi,
I have this small problem with my servers managed by Puppet (i have a
workaround so the problem is not so important):
1) These servers are installed with Red Hat Linux Enterprise and i use
Puppet in client-server mode.
2) I''ve made a Puppet class called "yum" to install (by the RPM
package provider) and configure YUM on my servers. I don''t use the YUM

cron and name with ''.''
I dont know if i am missleaded but it seems to me that the cron type
does not accept names with a ''.'' in it ? I tried to add a cron with a
name cron1-$domainename and it does not accept it. If i remove the ''.''
in the domain it work. I am using .22.3 anyone seeing the same behavior
? If yes i will fill it as a bug.
