Silencing VoiceMail() app in * 1.4.10
...through the archives it looks like I'm the ferst person to want
this...
My aim is to set up a voicemail application with a custom greeting before
*AND AFTER* the punter has left the message.
Right now the relevant section of my dialplan is like this:
exten => 2,1,Playback(/media/asterisk/answerphone-en)
exten => 2,n,VoiceMail(2000,s)
exten => 2,n,Playback(/media/asterisk/thankyou-en)
exten => 2,n,Hangup()

...mands:
exten => 6613,1,Wait,1
exten => 6613,3,Answer
exten => 6613,4,Playtones,ring
exten => 6613,5,Wait,10
exten => 6613,6,StopPlaytones
exten => 6613,7,Voicemail(666)
exten => 6613,8,Hangup
And when dialing 6613, I get ten seconds of ringtone, then to the
answerphone as expected. There is a difference in the two, in that the
sipgate one has the NoOp line in, but I initially tried the 6613 extension
with that line in (I removed it for ease of differentiation in the console).
Anyone got any ideas on this one? The fact that I can hear the voicemail

monitoring VM via speaker and grabbing connection
This is an old problem, but I have been unable to locate a solution so
far :-(
I want to set-up asterisk so that it mimics a typical answerphone ie.
someone calls in - you call screen in case it's:-
a) a telemarketer
b) someone else you don't won't to talk to
c) someone you don't want to talk to because you are busy
So you listen as they record their message, and if it's important, you
pick-up, which stops the recor...
