anoying debug info + can't login automaticaly
Howdy, I'm installing openssh 2.2.0p1 on a number of SUNs running Solaris 2.6 but ran into a few problems: 1. whenever I run a remote X11 application and f.i. change the windowsize I get anoying debug messages like debug: client_check_window_change: changed This is a problem since I want to use openssh in a production environment. Is there any way to turn these messages off? 2. I used to be able to logon automaticaly from one machine to another (using ssh 1.2.x) but now o...

Anoying bug in scale when using custom shortcuts
I'm using gandalfn's ubuntu-dev-pakages. I had this bug on beryl before. If I set a custom shortcut for scale (in my case I want to initiate all viewports on the default shortcut <ctrl><alt>Up), initiate_edge is automaticaly set to TopRight, too. The Problem is, I don't want to use the active edges at all. So I go everytime into gconf-editor, remove TopRight from

anoyingly answers already in use pstn line
I am using Asterisk and an X101P card as a glorified answering machine. We have a residential PSTN line with about six phones connected to it. Like an answering machine, I want Asterisk answer the line *only* when an incoming call is not answered after four rings. This mostly works. My extensions.conf is at the end of this message. The problem is that Asterisk will sometimes answer the line when

Option for "Delete downloaded files (y/N)?" in install.packages()
Hello! I have a wish/proposal. Is it possible to include some option in install.packages() for Delete downloaded files (y/N)? at the end of that process. It can be quite anoying if you must install several packages and wait meanwhile to type y/n for each package separately. -- Lep pozdrav / With regards, Gregor GORJANC --------------------------------------------------------------- University of Ljubljana Biotechnical Faculty URI: http://www.bfro.uni-lj.si...

failsafe against "stupid" / careless users
I'm admin on a samba PDC with 150 users, and as normal users they are quit "stupid". This means that they ofte deletes something that shouldnt have been deleted. And I find it anoying to restore their files from tapebackup. So would it be possible to get samba to "move" files instead of deleting them? This way I could allocate a disk to store deleted files for a periode of X days / weeks. If this isnt posible, maybe the samba team should consider this option. /Lass...

Veto files option not working
We're getting very close now to having our RH6.1 server as we want it. Just a few anoying things left to iron out so we can trial it properly prior to going live. One of them is the "veto files" option in smb.conf. We want to stop users on Win95 clients from seeing (or deleting) the dot-files in their home shares. I've tried the above option, I've tried "hid...

OT: 1gigabit Nics
Begging indulgence of the list - asking here because due to the higher likelyhood of getting an answer... I have an application that often loses connection from one machine to another when one (or more) of the machines has particular brands of 1gig nics, but which runs rock solid when on 10meg nics and some 1 gig nics. The application senses (falsely) that the connection has been shut down

[PATCH 0/4] efi: Makefile improvement
...(no need to make a commit) so that 'git submodule update --init' won't lose the revision you carefully checked out. But it's true, there's something about it. Having the Makefiles depend on git is not a good idea as it doesn't allow to build from a sources tarball. Another anoying thing is that 'git checkout' doesn't even try to checkout the submodule at the registered revision, which is a bit annoying. It's like you checkout a revision of syslinux and there's one file that never gets updated. So I don't know what the right policy should be. What...

Configure/install path overrides
...in /opt/dovecot/share/doc/dovecot. I think that's not quite nice and neat, so I call 'make install' like: make docdir=/opt/dovecot/share/doc install. But even then, the wiki stuff is still installed in /opt/dovecot/share/doc/dovecot/wiki in stead of /opt/dovecot/share/doc/wiki. Very anoying. My point is that ./configure should be able to override all paths, but since some paths are somehow hard-coded in the Makefile, this is impossible. Any chance this will (be) change(d) sometime? -Remy

Proteus and wine
...day. I don't remember what wrong have I done, but I have a problem with the component choosing list. It is a regular list-box, but when I click on an item, the one that is at the very botom gets selected, and NOT the one I have clicked on. So I must use the keyboard, but it's very slow and anoying. Should I submit this as a bug? P. S. I tried to turn off compiz, and it is the same. P. P. S. I tried to downgrade wine to 1.00 and to 0.95 but nothing helps
