libldap is needed for LDAP support
...this problem, with both 3.0.7 and 3.0.8. The command I am running is : ./configure --prefix=/usr/sfw --sysconfdir=/etc/sfw --with-smbwrapper --with-acl-support --w ith-ldap --with-ldapsam --with-ads --with-krb5=/usr/lib/krb5 I get this with the Sun ldap libraries (which I asummme are OpenLDAP by anonther name) in /usr/lib, and also with the OpenLDAP libraries in /usr/local/lib. In both cases libldap is there. I noticed a similar query in early October, but could not find a response. Any help gratefully received. {CentOS} HDD Problem....
...on my CentOS machine...and connectiing this drive externally...i got positive reports from both the short and long tests...so the drive can obviously be "seen"....but when I look for it in the /dev/ directory...it doesn't show up.....I'm about to give the fdisk command line tools anonther shot....it allows me to format the drive...and to give it a file system...(ext4)....but it doesn't automaticcaly mount, nor can I format the drive using the Disk Utility in CEntOS.....I'm going to give D.B.A.N one more try since I was able to format it from the smartctl command line....hope...

Samba 3.2, Samba 3.3 release planning
Hi, i visited wiki.samba.org and read the "Release Planning for Samba 3.2" information and the "Release Planning for Samba 3.3" information. So my question is: Is samba 3.2 development stopped and all concentration given to Samba 3.3 ? Arrggg Samba is not behaving
