I'm having performance problems that seem to involve SAMBA in the equation so I thought I'd ask if there was something obvious I'm stuffing up or a known anomoly. A mate of mine runs MYOB Premier (the brilliant (not!) multi-user accounting package which claims to not support SAMBA (or visa versa). Hi, I'm seeing a very similar problem to the thread "Sporadic networking issues" [1]. In our setup, some TCP operations receive unexpected RST packets when executed on the guest. I can see these RST packets via wireshark but can't explain their source. We originally uncovered this when some 'git clone' operations failed with "Broken Pipe" in the guests.

I've never seen this one before. I'm using rsync 2.6.2 on both ends. Server (Athlon, 768MB RAM) checks out just fine. The only anomoly appears to be that this process has been running for 248268.43 seconds (this is not unexpected with this particular host we're backing up). Hey, I just wanted to mention that the same problem still exists for me in version 3.09, altough the changelog mentions: Reduce the command line to 511 characters; 1023 caused memory overflows.
